I’ve been on the same dose of Vyvanse since fall 2019. It still works. I notice a difference when I don’t take it. But I think I miss the rush I used to get when I would feel my meds kick in — like I could handle anything and I knew my meds were working. That plus the hyper focus that was still within my control (not the time blindness hyper focus where you fixate). Does anyone still get that? Is it worth trying to change my meds? Or is this just what it feels like to be “normal” now?

From what I understand, we aren’t really supposed to feel that rush after our body gets used to the meds….that’s how you know it’s working & is the correct dose.

I also take vyvance and experienced this…but on days that I don’t take it I definitely am less productive and especially spacey. I’ve found that if I take a couple days off, that rush feeling comes back and I feel like the meds are more effective. It’s hard to do that especially during the week, but I think it’s just our bodies getting used to the medication.

Are you taking it every day?

I agree. You shouldn't really feel a rush. You can always see about having your dosage upped but if you notice a difference when you don't take it, it sounds like this is your new normal.

Recently arrived to visit my aging (mid 60’s) mother. The last time was a year ago. For the last several years each time I visit there are visible cob webs all over the ceilings and walls throughout most of the house. I try to address it as an issue that needs more attention but get laughed at and gaslit. Her mental stability is quite concerning. The house is falling a part too with many repairs needed and unaddressed.

Thoughts on how to handle?

My mom won't wear her Fitbit to bed. She has a pacemaker and has had a fib. We got it for Christmas so we could find out while she's in an episode and not a month later. She read or saw somewhere that it interferes with pacers. I looked it up and it's not a legit concern, but wanted more opinions before I advise.

Just wanted to post an update. 68 weeks ago I posted about my drinking problems. It was bad. It’s been 8 months now without a single drink. I still can’t believe it. I still miss drinking. I’ve sat with coworkers and watched them drink. It’s not nearly as fun, but I am so thankful each morning I can hold my head up high. Will I drink again? I only said I would quit for 60 days. Can I have a beer? Some wine? A fine bourbon? I sometimes crave it. I guess there is the answer! You can all do this!

I know this gets posted a lot in here but I am struggling to make financial sense of my offer I received. Obviously my want to move to the UK can/probably will outweigh this concern but I would appreciate any weigh in.

I've given the reasons why I deserve at least 30% to HR. In response to that, HR has sent 2nd offer i.e. 29 Lakhs + 4 Lakhs incentive + 50k sign-on bonus. The 2nd offer is just 18.2% higher than my current earnings. Need your suggestion, if I could still negotiate with HR to finalize deal by asking for 25% hike?

Billable hour question: is anyone else just completely incapable of keeping up with your time? I’ve been an attorney for 3 years now and tried everything I can think of to figure this out but I just can’t do it. It’s the same thing at the end of every month - staying up late entering in an entire month of time. Luckily most clients I work for are flat fee/percentage based but I still feel like a failure for not being able to do this thing that seemingly every other lawyer can do. Any tips?

Has anyone had any experience with online platforms prescribing ADHD medications? I’ve seen ads for Done and wanted others input.
