What FIRE blogs do you recommend?

And what would you say has been the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?

Dude, real estate is a bubble which may come crashing down with trumps tax cut

There we go again. OP you apparently haven't learnt much if real estate is your first choice of investment.

Good linking on those blogs, OP. Any more recommended ones by the group would be appreciated.

I don't know if it's normal to feel so much anxiety about my job. I get an email over the weekend and I have an immediate (probably overdramatic) feeling of dread. I open my laptop on Monday and feel miserable about the week ahead. Then I read some posts here and seems like some feel the same but push through? Not really a question or a rant, but am just feeling weak for feeling like I want to give up and find a new job so early in my career

Hey fishes, hope you are doing great. I'm a DevOps/sre Engineer, with 12 YOE in the UK. I'm currently working in a Reputed tech company. Not FAANG. I would like to pursue my career in these above similar top tech companies. Would like to know your opinions on preparation and what kind of salaries can be expected and is there any WLB.
preparation: I'm sure that I'm bad at datastructures and algos.
Sys Design:ok
But my role has nothing to do with too much SD
Appreciate your suggestions

Today I closed on the sale of my condo and celebrated with a bottle of Krug all to myself. Probably one of the most decadent and gluttonous things I’ve ever done, but 11/10 worth it.

Just realized the importance of managing the retirement accounts and investments. Help please! I have about $7k in Traditional 401k. Nothing else. No brokerage accounts. My plan is to 1) open a Roth IRA and put $6,000 in it right away. And that will be included in my 2020 tax return right? 2) Convert my traditional 401k to Roth 401k when I quit in January. 3) Open a brokerage account and invest in ETFs. Is it reasonable to open in Charles Schwab since my 401k is there? Any input is appreciated!

I don’t really feel like I’m getting mental space from work, even though I can theoretically “unplug” a bit. Any habits or hobbies that help you create balance and separate yourself from work?

Trying to make sure I’m understanding this correctly- if I choose to contribute a lump sum of post tax money to my HSA at the beginning of the year and then just contribute a minimal amount of pre-tax money the rest of the year to max it out, I can deduct the lump sum contribution on my taxes even if I don’t itemize other deductions, right? And the net effect is the same as maxing out an HSA with entirely pretax contributions?
