Those of you who work with commercial contracts and sales: how long is the average contract review turnover? Is within a week reasonable depending on workload? I just started in house with a sales team and it seems like everything is urgent and nothing is done fast enough.

Received an offer and I asked to speak to the paralegals (I said just one of the many paralegals) to just learn more about the team. I was never connected and instead, was asked if there were any specific questions I had. Does this seem strange?

I work for a mid-sized company (almost 500 employees) with a legal team of 3 and am curious about how our approach to contracts compares with others. Every single contract the company signs goes through legal review, and we always have revisions (we have specific terms we typically request). I’m talking every contract, down to the coffee vendor (not to minimize the significance of coffee). Is this normal? Sometimes it feels like a huge waste of time for low-risk concerns.

I am currently in litigation firm. I’m tired of firm life. I am looking into moving in house. I am seeing a few insurance companies looking for litigation counsels. How is a litigation counsel role different from claims adjuster who manages outside counsels?

Does anyone else feel like people are inflating their salary numbers here or are including stock when asked about base +bonus? The numbers people are throwing out definitely do not reflect what any of these companies offered for base+bonus.

I have accepted an offer at another company and because I have some equity vesting at the end of February, I’m delaying my departure. Is 3/4 weeks notice too much or should I just wait to give standard. I would have wanted to give more notice even if the award vest wasn’t a concern but don’t want to jeopardize that.
