Laid off bc of lack of work, told I have a few weeks to find a new job BUT have been getting assigned new projects since then. Wtf do I do?
Does staying at a job too long make you less marketable? A CFO who worked at a company for over a decade and was fired because of cut backs was hired for temp work. An accounting manager of 6 years was hired for tech support. How does this happen?
If a former manager never fought for you or bothered to reach out when you got laid off and then creeps your LinkedIn every so often is it worth keeping them as a contact, or remove them?
Would you rather get promoted or laid off at your current firm (and collect a sweet severance package)? Why/why not?
Got laid off but found a job. Unfortunately I can’t start for like 2 months. Any ideas on jobs I could do in the meantime? Can’t drive so no Uber. Willing to do minimum wage, anything will help
Has Anyone been laid off but got another job by telling prospective employer another story because your ex employers policy will not to reveal reason for separation?
Hey guys I also got laid off at D. 1 year experience as a BTA>S&A>CCG. Would anybody mind helping a mate out with any referrals? Would love to discuss over DM. Appreciate your help, thank you so much!
My wife got laid off by her employer a couple weeks ago but her severance package is for 3 months. It would be as if she was still employed until May. Should I report this as a life event now or wait?
Hi, I am looking for Research Analyst job in Mumbai. Please refer me if there is any vacancy available. I am working as Research Analyst in Merit Software Services and have been laid off due to pandemic situation. Any help is appreciated.
Anyone else starting to feel nervous about the extra $600/week unemployment going away? Also, is it just me or does it seem stupidly misguided that the Senate/WH prefer to send another stimulus check instead of extending unemployment benefits? Stimulus checks go to a much smaller subset of the population and aren't necessarily going to help those impacted by COVID layoffs. Not to mention the argument that it disincentivizes people going back to work is dumb when there are no jobs to return to.
If layoffs would need to happen, how would they look like in a B4? What percentages? what levels? What criteria would they use to lay off people? What is the probability of this happening this year?
Are layoffs happening at your firm?
After getting laid off 2 weeks ago, I fired off about 20 resumes to different places. I have not received any feedback at all. Any ideas how to get past the computer and in front of someone?
Anyone else have a lingering fear that they could be fired at any moment? I’ve received great performance reviews and my partner says I’m doing very well, but I don’t vibe with my colleagues as well as it seems others do.
Made my first big, client-facing mistake today. Almost made it a year without one, but alas. Embarrassed and nervous about fallout, especially in the time of layoffs. Say a little prayer for me.
What other consulting firms have a prominent supply chain consulting practice besides MBB, the Big 4 accounting firms, and Kearney?
Welp! lesson learned.Get screenshot of boarding pass at the very least. TSA sent me back to ticketing and I missed flight cos barcode would not show. Then Delta wanted to charge $200 change fee 😂😂😂
To what extent would picking a T10 (Haas, Tuck) over a T15 (excluding Stern and Cornell) positively influence my IB/consulting recruiting outcomes, assuming all else equal? Would IB employers note this difference in rankings? Always heard that the lower down the T15 you go, the more 'plus points' (e.g. relevant pre-MBA experience, high GMAT, URM) you'll need on your application to compensate for the school's rank, and while it sounds naive, I just wanted to see if there's any truth to this?
Need referrals for DevOps Intern. Thank you
What to read or watch before first flight lesson to maximize what I get from it? Got one as a gift. 1hr desk, 1hr cesna
Is it wrong that I like when people leave or get fired? Not like I get joy from misfortune but I love the drama and scoop
I just realized I'm excited to see the hotel front desk staff. It's like Cheers at this point!
Can Accenture 🐠 share the culture and project types in the Finance Strategy offering? Is this a pure strategy or? Saw a position and am interested to learn more! Thanks for sharing!
Anyone have thoughts on how the corona virus will also affect how (or if) agencies will be hiring?
I heard WK laid off 50 people this week ? Surely this can't be true . They're indepdent and can think long term
I am a beginner DA user and trying to gain experience. I am trying to do a project on ESG for fun, and having some difficulty coming up with a hypothesis. Want to pick your brains and see if I can get started. I have data about CO2 emisiones, electricity usage, air quality, and that’s pretty much it. Using alteryx and powerbi (to visualize results) as I don’t have any other programs. Thanks so much!
Anyone go from boutique > independent > MBB? Or does it make more sense to straight from independent to industry? Independent right now, commercial pharma space.
Hi fishes I'm being constantly denied opportunities to grow and being targeted by a female manager for a rating discussion which happened a year ago . She is literally dropping allegations over me in managers meets which are false and some how my coach is also with her. My current year performance is well, with highest quality yet I'm not being considered for promotion.I'm seriously trying to look out but not getting any calls, what options do I have, can I raise this to intigrity helpline ??
I am trying to get outta consulting but I can only get consulting firm offers because all the other industry jobs drop me after the technical interview bc consulting hasn't taught me any technical skills besides PPT and Excel 😭😭😭
SO has been an art teacher for 5 yrs, looking to get out of the classroom. Just completed a Masters in Org Leadership with specialty in Proj Mgmt. What’s a good role for that Exp and Edu combo?
Deloitte🐠: What's the expected salary bump fromC to SC? Does it have something to do with rating? For example, rating 1 promotion bump will be higher than 2?
Interviewing tomorrow at another Big4 firm for a 100% travel position that has "McLean" as the location. Would they ever be okay with me not living in that area? If so, when to bring that question up?
