No way... mask on no matter the distance while in a classroom or enclosed room. At the very least a face shield with a drape to minimize your exposure and theirs.

Leave those masks on while in a building! We have face shields we use to give our kids a “ mask break” while in the classroom, and then it isn’t the whole class (16 students) at the same time, but otherwise the masks stay on while in the building. We have been F2F since August. We r a district of 8,000 staff and students. We r tracking around 50 active cases district-wide—but...our city and county are blowing up w/Covid. Getting Subs for teachers, bus drivers, Paras etc. is becoming almost impossible. That may be the reason we have to go fully remote—no subs. Masks! Hand washing! Sanitizer! Distancing! 🙏Stay Healthy 🙏

I know that with SPED and ELL it will be hard to keep mask on. We have been in person since August and it is hard for them to hear/understand you.

I work in a k-5 MH room, in Ohio. DD, MH and Autism students here are NOT required to wear masks at all jn the school buildings. We try to social distance as best we can but we have our restroom right in our classroom and have many that require full service in there and it’s impossible to stay distanced. I’m 44 and in great health I have already had a bit more than mild case of the virus (probably contracted at school) I’m worried about my two classroom aides that are much older than me. We have been full in person since school reopened in August. No word on a shutdown yet, even though cases here are at all time highs. Good luck.

Full remote from home!!!

masks may make it hard for ELs to understand you, but at least where a face shield. basically, do whatever it takes for your to feel comfortable with the risk.

I know we all love the work from home (or do we?) but does anyone actually miss traveling for their consulting engagements and all the fun that goes along with it? The late nights at the office then the bar and random hookups and excitement and all that? Sure it’s a grind but I think I actually miss it too. Maybe I just miss seeing people at work or seeing people at all. I wonder if we’ll ever get back to that.

Looking for (adaptive, preferably) educational technology for ELA to be used in classrooms as both enrichment for students identified as gifted as well as re-teaching, offering helpful support for students who struggle. Has anyone found anything that does both well? Looking especially for a tool that teachers can get behind and that students enjoy/find easy to use. What do you love? What do you hate? This would be targeted to grades 1-6 primarily, but it needs a high ceiling.

If all the top consulting firms made anonymous decks or gave anonymous pitches to a client, eg no branding and the client did not know which firm made which deck, do you actually think that the client would prefer MBB? Is MBB actually coming up with better/more innovative solutions? I feel like I see many repeat or slightly altered solutions on almost all of my cases, are these really things that people at Deloitte/Accenture etc aren’t coming up with?
