Of McKinsey Chicago, BCG Chicago, and Bain Chicago, which has the best WLB? Particularly for the entry level role?
Looking to create a tool we can use for stakeholder relationship tracking. We want to be able to hear a clients name, look them up in the tool, see info about their role and department, and see which of our consultants have worked with them before and on what projects. Trying to think of an easy to use, interactive tool beyond something like excel. What’s something you’ve used for this before? Don’t think we’ll be going as far as purchasing a license for a CRM software
Hey y’all, got a green light from the interview team and my package is headed to HC. The recruiter asked me to fill out a document with my expected comp for base and equity for the package. (Cont)
Currently interviewing for accounting advisory role at another firm. The interviewer implied I need to be hired at a lower level due to lack of advisory experience before evaluated for promotion in fall this year. Anyone having thought if this is good move or no?
Do Mid Tier firms have similar exit opportunities as Big 4? I am moving to a mid tier as a Sr and want to stay until Sr Mgr at least, but curious about exit oops after that.
Need genuine advice. Been planning to move abroad permanently for quite some time but due to pandemic situation, all plans were put to rest. I am having FOMO seeing others still trying to get things done by the way of finding jobs and applying for them. Should I apply too? Not sure how employers are acting towards foreign workers atm.
I’ve been through 5+ weeks of interviews with a company that will IPO next year and they did a bait and switch on me with the offer: it was advertised as “Head of” and then during the offer-walk-through-meeting today they said “oh btw we changed the title to ‘Senior Manager’ for this role”. They offered me a salary I made 4 years ago as a manager. They offered stock options with an exercise price TBD 1 year from now…which is when they’re hitting IPO. Is that normal for stock options?
What are your strengths/weaknesses? Such an overplayed interview question that no one really answers truthfully -- now is your chance!
Any BCG consultants here? Thinking about applying and would love to here more from someone who works there / interviewing tips.
With 2 year post MBA experience at MBB, which level and how much comp should I target for a Strategy and Ops role?
Worked 2 years entry role IT consultant at a big4 and 2 years another entry role strategy consultant at T2 cobsulting firm (ATK, LEK, S&), which level at MBB should I apply for? Again entry role?
FAANG folks - what are Facebook/Google roles like Country Lead/Industry Lead equivalent to? Are these Director level roles? What sort of compensation can you expect in something like that role?
Does anyone know of any Jr CW openings in NY?
Tips on interviewing with Deloitte? Aside from a case study what other questions should I expect
Any foster moms out there? I’m curious if companies provide parental leave to support new fostering relationships? Have your companies been supportive of the time commitment during work hours?
If I had a 10k bonus for every upvote on Fishbowl...
Hi guys, wanted to know a little bit about the Post Merger Integration(PMI) team at KPMG Global Services. Would be great if you can share about nature of projects, work life balance, travel etc.
Does anyone know what typical work is like in PWC - Financial Education Services ? Asking for the position of an associate
Has anyone been offered a status buy-up for 2021. ~$1700 short of United 1k this year and think my travel will increase a good bit starting next year. Think it could make sense, especially given the 2021 thresholds
Looking to relocate to the south-east U.S. to be nearer family. Anyone know of any good agencies/clients hiring senior roles at the moment or will be soon? Ideally one that's going hybrid at least. Fully remote also good, but would like to be in the SE so going to the office would be at least an option. And yes, I've looked at LinkedIn, Indeed, Google etc.
How do you concentrate on work when personal issues get in the way? My fiancé recently told me that I don’t do anything worth appreciating in the midst of an argument about division of household labor. Although I normally do almost all of the housework and at least half the cooking, I have not done that in the past two weeks as I’ve been prepping for trial. I’m furious of course, but have other things I need to be concentrating on.
“What’s your process,” I had never really thought about how to articulate that … but I believe not having a good answer on an interview lost me a good job. Now I’ve heard that some copywriters have branded decks or Google slides to represent their process. Thoughts?
Starting full time at McKinsey in November. Curious to know what it’s like for fellow gender non-conforming folk, as well as non-binary and trans folks at the firm (or as consultants in general!) Are there any trans/non binary people at your firm/office location, regardless of your firm? Just trying to gauge what kind of world I’m stepping into.
So I left B4 risk assurance because I found the work a drag and moved to a boutique place where I was hoping to get a better experience or shape my career the way I want. However, this place isn’t what I was expecting and the project I’m on requires deadly hours and is staff aug. I’m looking to do this for a year and go back to b4 (as I like being in a bubble) but a different service line. How possible is this?
I really need advice please. I’m a newly promoted S1 in Tax & I’m extremely conflicted. I really wouldn’t mind staying till manager. While I work extremely long hours, I find the work interesting & I enjoy working with my team. I don’t plan on having kids for a while so I really just want to do the best to put myself in a position where I will be the most successful in the long term. People who left at manager, do you think it helped or hindered you by staying that long?
I haven’t seen this out there, but it came up in my college class; don’t record your Zoom sessions if there’s any interaction with students. It violates FERPA.
Just got an offer to join an mbb from Deloitte. I have 3 years of exp and have been working on b school apps and was planning on going after 4 years. Is it worth it to go (it’s a BA role) or should I apply post mba and try as an associate?
Currently an SC at EY up for promotion to Manager (no guarantee this will occur) and have an offer from Deloitte for SC for a $15k base increase. Would you take the offer or wait for promo decision?
If you knew you were getting promoted and you think your company will offer a 10% raise but the market rate is probably closer to 20-25% raise, how would you go about it?
500k at 31 which is great but I still feel like I’ll never be able to afford a house in my area (~1M). My money is pretty much 50% 401k 50% investments.
I keep getting into second and third rounds of interviews and not getting the job bc my experience is low. Can’t seem to get past the # of years hurdle. Anyone have some encouraging words? Need a lift
How have you retained the will to keep going on your current trajectory? I’m currently on track for promotion and doing well, but I’m struggling to muster the energy needed to keep it up. Just bored
