Hello, I am having my first connect with recruiter at Amazon for modernisation Architect role next week. It is scheduled for 30 min. Could anyone throw some lights on how the first connect looks like. Do I need to prepare in terms of behavioral questions(which I seen quite a lot in everyone's post) . Thank in advance you for your support.
Can anyone help me on how to get interview calls from companies abroad. I would have applied to more than 1000 jobs in UK and Ireland through job boards such as LinkedIn , Irishjobs.ie and others but never received even a single interview invite . Am i doing something wrong ? 😔
Will be really obliged if someone from this group can guide me
HCL Technologies Went through HR discussion and salary discussion 10 days back. Initial required documents are sent from my side over mail to HR as they asked. HR told they will proceed with the profile and will update back post getting the approval. After that no update yet and HR is not responding over mails/calls as usual. Should I consider they are not proceeding? Any idea how many days it takes in general HCL Technologies

Hi, I am a Data analyst and highly accomplished Tableau developer and business intelligence in the past 3 years providing organization with custom complex visual development. I am looking for a referral in Accenture for a Business Analytics position in Canada. Let me know if you can help me with this. Thanks! Accenture
I don’t think they’ll appreciate that response if I’m being honest.
Possibly, but it depends on how badly they need the role and how qualified you may appear to be for them.
Prob not ...
They might still be interested, but if it’s possible to carve out some time for them (even through cancelling something else if it comes to that) you probably should. I know this time of year is crazy busy but I’d hate for you to lose the opportunity.
Generally this kind of an answer is a euphemism for “no thanks”.
IDK your situation, but if you’re interested in this particular opportunity I’m pretty sure you can find time for a phone call before January.
At my company, headcount is open for only so long. They screen applicants, pick the top three, and then do deep interviews on those folks and offer the top candidate if they seem right. We can’t refer people unless there is an actual slot open. So if you decline the initial screen, you might miss out depending on how popular the company is.
was that for a screening call?
It's probably better to make them wait rather than going in entirely unprepared and exhausted - which I have done and learned my lesson on.
Well, you are right. Nothing wrong with being prepared but to say you can't take out 30mins to speak with a recruiter especially if you indicated that you are actively searching, is like saying you are not interested
I would count it against you. You can find time for the things you value
Can you not take some time off to fit in a call? I’d argue that if where you are is so busy you can’t take 30 minutes, that’s not a good environment.
That specific job? Maybe? But a similar one will be there next month. In fact, based on this job market, this one will probably be there too. It is absolutely a-ok to make clear to the recruiter when you are actually available to breathe and then be interviewed.
The caveat is that if the recruiter is just putting out a feeler to gauge interest and fit, you should just make time. That kind of communication is very low-pressure. If there's a good fit, the actual interview can be weeks later.
It depends. If I'm interested in learning more about the job and the recruiter can plan in advance ie schedule a day in advance, then yes, I'll make time. I had a recruiter ask if I was available tomorrow, not set a time and just randomly message me the next day. That kind of recruiter I'm probably not going to work with.
