So I looked on Zillow and basically found that a condo or row house that I actually want to live in will cost about $1m (DC). Currently 200tc with only 30k in the market outside of retirement accounts. We agree I’d basically have to make 300tc and save a 200k down payment to realistically afford this right? Assuming single income, no other debt. A bit humbling because that feels like a 5 year goal
