I've been working as a scrum master/ agile coach for the last 4 years and I can't seem to find a position for a PM/PO for lack of experience that's usually the reason I'm given, but I was coaching teams to become Product owners, I teach product management at university and I even made a portfolio of products I launched over the years, I'm only applying to one City in north France. I feel like a loser :( it got me thinking did I chose the wrong path for my career by becoming a scrum master.

I was put into PIP in my first company. I believed my manager said that it's only for improvement. I signed it. Later realized it's a termination plan. So I quit the company. But after 5 years I got a call from my First company HR for another role, I was happy to take that opportunity. But later HR called me and said they couldn't proceed for some reason. Am I black listed because of PIP? Please share your insights.

I am a project manager with the strong desire to transition into product management but I’m feeling a little discouraged. Every opportunity I come across mentions 7-10 years experience. I just started training for the Google UX certification with hopes that may better prepare me. Any other suggestions? Words of advice on how to best make this transition?

I have about 15 years of experience in tech with 2 years as head of product in a startup. I'm trying to find a new leadership role which is proving to be very difficult. My applications seem to get rejected because I don't meet the "minimum X number of years in product" requirement. I feel confident about leading a product team and believe that I have a unique blend of skills which can be applied effectively to build successful products. Any suggestions on how I could land more interviews?

Right now I’m unhappy in my role due to bad management. I work in NYC at a beauty/CPG company. This is the week where I feel like I’m about to get crushed. Launching a new version of a product and we’re trying to get it ready for use by a customer but we’re behind schedule. Launching a new feature on another product for another customer but we’re getting a lot of bugs and we have a week to ship. Drowning and stressed out.

What would be suggested for long-term growth? Doing growth-related data science at a private equity firm or a role as a monetization pm in a FANG-related company? What are possible growth areas after the job at a PE firm? I'm concerned that a career in PM would plateau.

Thinking about leaving Product Management.

Altogether I’ve been in Product from entry level role to senior/lead pm now for about 5 years.

I’m fed up/burnt out dealing with incompetent people (clients devs different teams) the mundane and repetitiveness of rinse recycle and repeat of product is exhausting and boring me out.

I make really good money and honestly I’m only in it for the money now. What’s a career that pas 500k+

After getting promoted fairly quickly in an APM program at a bank, I am networking to learn about new opportunities in fintech spaces. I have a year experience in backend infrastructure PM and 8 months experience in customer-facing banking products.
