My final round with Deloitte for UK Tech Consulting Manager position soon. Strangely it’s not a PMD round as it usually is for other Big4/tech consulting firms.
1. Can anyone tell me if they’ve been through the whole process without speaking to PMD? (First round Sr Manager, second Case Interview by a manager and third again by a manager) 2. What is a typical salary to expect? I was asked in screening but kept it vague (e.g can discuss later bla bla). I was hoping 75-80 (ridiculous?)
Friends, any news for ITA promotion?
Hi all,
I just came to realise Deutsche Bank has a fixed rule of max 30 to 35 % hike on fixed component and remaining 10 to 15% variable i.e. total 50% max hike you can ask for no matter how good, skilled you are.
Is it true?
(I got to know this when an HR called me for a Frontend developer role)

That is illegal. I wouldn't recommend going through that route of suing a company. Still, it is definitely an option if you feel you are being compensated differently. I recommend having a 1-on-1 meeting with your supervisor or manager and bringing up your situation. I also recommend highlighting what will be the route to get a raise and having that written down and reviewed 6 months after.
Ugh, that sounds absolutely awful and like they do not appreciate you or all of the hard you do. It has been eight years, I think it is time to find a role that will pay and treat you better.
It’s time for you to leave. I’m not sure how your job is structured with step increases but if you’re not being paid what you think you should be then start looking for a new job. You could also have HR evaluate your job classification, level and step to see if you can have it changed.
Pretty much this. The situation doesn't get better and I see threads like this on here all the time - although in different bowls, but it speaks to the same issues. If you see something unfair/not right, flagging it doesn't actually change anything. You're better off leaving the situation.
Is your role unionized? If so, you should reach out to them and share this. This may be an issue where you can get support from your union and they can advocate on your behalf.
If you're structured anything like my state's government, then you should be able to request an audit to have your position description updated to match what you actually do. I did this when I switched from a secretary to a department tech, which moved me out of the secretarial pathway and allowed for my eventual graphic design position.
That sounds awful. I think it's about high time that you found a new job that will value your work. If they still think that you're not deserving of a raise, then that's their problem. Good luck to them on filling in the position.
That's so unacceptable. You should start looking for another job. You deserve more and I know you'll find a better job. Best of luck!
