I've been working for 3 years since graduation and the first 2 years I worked in aviation consultancy. Mostly doing data/BI analysis but my main title and job was airport planner. I've made a move to the data science team and have been working as a data scientist for just over a year now and I'm only earning £37k.
I want to make a jump to a higher paid data science role but I feel a bit insecure that 2/3yrs of my experience is not in data science.

If you transfer internally from one group to another group, do you get to retain your current salary in big 4 or will there be pay cut?

Would love some insight on how you went from an HR assistant/coordinator to an HR Generalist. I’ve been in the HR world for 8 years, and only in the last 2-3 have I really done real HR work. The first company I was at didn’t have a solid HR team so I don’t really count that. I feel like I’m ready to take on more responsibility and learn more. And of course make more money.
