Does your firm have a clause that would prevent the company from hiring you?
None except for a limited possibility that the firm may have to pay 20% of the compensation. Very unlikely that this may happen given the relationship between two firms, but it’s out there in the agreement.
Makes sense - re: the hiring clause. The fee would likely be waived for the relationship. Do you know the person that left? Perhaps speak to them about the position. Maybe they can put in a good word for you. It is tricky if you don't have a solid relationship with the CFO because it is highly likely your firm will find out.
