I’ve been working in customer service for over a decade. The past 3 years have burnt me out and I am having a hard time finding something I can pivot to that will pay enough. I’ve always moved up and been in a position of leadership and training, but I feel as if I have gone as far up as I can where I am at. Does anyone have any suggestions on jobs or industries that I could move to?

I moved 4 years ago from customer service (Cafe/barista) into a bank teller position, from there I got hired as a office/facilities coordinator part time, I worked hard there (It was both easy and fun) and they made me full time, then I quit and joined a much better company as a full time front desk person at a tech company. It's infinitely better.

It is now Thursday and no word on an offer. Everyone seemed to like me - so much so that they said they expedited my interview process.

So should I follow up today or wait until tomorrow (Friday) to follow-up?

Looking for additional perspectives on my current situation.

Currently a vp in corporate strategy at a bulge bracket Bank and am up for promotion to svp. I've got a verbal offer to work as a vp corporate strategy at a smaller non-us Bank at almost 2x what I currently make

Economically, the second role is far superior. However I feel my exit ops would be extremely limited.

Is it worth negotiating with my current firm and get reasonably close to this offer (cont'd in comments)
