I've been working in pharma for 5 years and was promoted to AD in 2019 without a pay raise. I am looking for new opportunities now since I'm underpaid. I have strong client relation and leadership skills. Should I be looking for mid or senior level positions? Is senior AD the next level?

5 years is a long time especially in pharma. You should be a senior AD making 6 figures or close to it already.

Thank you for the insight!

Sr AD at 90-95k seems right

like

95k to 100k is actually right. Don’t accept less than that.

Omg you should be an Art Sup at 115k if you’re in NYC

At your level it's not about management skills, it's about your book. Get honest feedback on it. Make it better. Repeat. When ready shop it and go get the money. Be ready to reevaluate your worth if your book isn't good enough.

like

You should be at least a Sr AD and making 95K at the LOWEST.

For the past 2 years I’ve been scrambling for digital projects at Accenture and even took management and data projects (neither I was qualified to do, but the teams needed help) to avoid too much time on the bench and getting fired- I’ve been working for almost 4 yrs but I only just got a 20% raise to $85k. When I see people here talk about making way way more for less experience, I wonder if I’m being underpaid. And how would I start a negotiation for a raise or look for other opportunities??

Need some insight — I’ve been talking to a guy who is pretty cool and we vibe well. It’s still early stages so nothing serious, but sometimes I can’t tell if he’s being self-centered in conversation or just trying to impress me. What are some indicators I should be looking for and is there a good way I can raise this with him? For context, he definitely expresses interest in me and my opinions, but he’s often one driving the conversations and we end up mostly talking about topics he brings up.

Seeking to understand: I have a good friend who struggles with anxiety. Whil I try to be there for her and be understanding, sometimes it feels very one-sided. I went through a very rough health scare myself about a month ago and I realized she wasn’t really there for me and even when we talk, it’s mostly about her and what is stressing her out. I know she doesn’t mean to make it about her, but it does frustrate me. I don’t want to get resentful but im starting to. Any advice or perspective?

So my wife basically said she doesn’t want to have sex anymore. Don’t want to do anything about it. After couple kids, doesn’t feel it anymore. Also said it wasn’t anything I did and there’s no one else. I understand women’s body changes after child birth but can’t help thinking it’s gonna suck being in a sexless marriage. We’re still attractive and haven’t turned into couch potatoes…yet Happy Thanksgiving!

It's funny that there have been so many Uber haters who relentlessly criticized the company for making taxi drivers go broke...yet I am not hearing any staunch WFH supporters worry about tens of thousands of facilities management and maintenance professionals whose jobs will all but disappear if people do not return to their offices.

Hi, I’m an undergrad majoring in economics. I’m now a junior and couldn’t find an intern for summer. I am thinking applying to a one year graduate program in business analytics so I get more skills built up. Could anyone give me some advice about whether this is doable? I’m hesitating because I haven’t really taken much programming classes and most my coding skills are built up by doing research. Same with math. Thanks in advance!!

MBB associate with undergrad degree in economics. Loved the degree, though didn’t do much with it outside of class (spent summers on internships, didn’t write a thesis). If I want to do something related to economics, how can I best leverage my current background to do so? Would MS in Econ make more sense than an mba? Maybe MS in stats or data science? Does the MBB background help in any way?
