Agency people are always sought after. Just be able to explain how you dedicate your time to each of your clients and any direct impact you’ve had (include numbers, %, etc.). Also if you have clients in a particular industry, maybe focus on applying to companies within that same area.
A comparable position on the client side would be Paid Media Specialist, Performance Marketing Specialist, Digital Marketing Specialist, Social Media Specialist. Or go for a associate manager/manager role if you’ve been a specialist for a while; always try to jump up a title level if you can when changing jobs.
My advice for someone who is looking to make the shift from agency side to client side is to focus on showcasing your understanding of the needs of clients. Show that you understand their specific goals and objectives, and are able to provide ideas and solutions on how they can reach them
As for a comparable position on the client side for someone who works on paid social media, a Social Media Manager would be the closest match. This role requires a deep knowledge of the different social media platforms, their algorithms and different features so that you can effectively build and manage campaigns that will engage users and drive results
