I’ve built a reputation I’m proud of @ my company. I’m underpaid for what I do (started as an intern) & recently asked for a market adjustment. Management acknowledged that I’m undervalued & plans to set me up for a promotion. It’d come with more responsibility, which doesn’t align with my goals.
Year-end advice needed (Deloitte). Has any open appealed a promotion decision? If so, how did you go about it? I’ve heard of folks being promoted at mid-year, any advise?
Do you inform your firm if you receive offer from another firm? Want to get raise or match offer.
Looking for some advice here. Experienced sales person, with a goal of moving into tech. I’ve had a number of interviews in the last week and into this week/next. (Just started applying). Anyway, I’ve also went through an interview process with a great company in my current field. They’re going to make an offer and it’s going to be a good raise over my current position. But, I just don’t feel compelled, I truly want to move industries. It feels weird to turn down a great offer for the unknown
Hi everyone. I am senior right now at UF, one semester away from my bachelors in business administration, 3 semesters away from my MS in Information Systems and Operations Management w a specialization in Information Technology from UF.
This summer (in a month) I’ve locked in my first internship with a big 4 in IT Audit. IT Audit isn’t my end goal career wise but I’m grateful for the opportunity.
How do I get into cloud security/Big4 IT consulting considering my background?
Is waiting till manager worth it? I’m an S3 in a LCOL area at a mid-tier looking to make manager next cycle. A friend of mine told me about an opening in FP&A. I like the company, know the hiring manger, and am qualified. The hard part is, I actually like my job. I’m learning lot and afraid of leaving and stalling out. Right now I’m at 65k (crap raise “due to COVID”). The position is listed as “75k-110k”. I think first year managers in my firm make around 80k. Is that raise unlikely nowadays?
I have 4.3 YOE currently and I was offered Engr II - Full Stack position in VDSI. But after doing some research it seems Engr II is usually for YOE between 2 and 4. Is this correct? Will there be a problem for me if I take up this position with my YOE?
Since I am a lateral entry, I think promotion to Engr III also would take a lot of time.
Also can you please let me know the current designation hierarchy in VDSI?
P1.Currently work as a sales associate who makes minimum wage in CA ($15) but is always available for more hours, I am always reliable to my job when needed. They soon asked me to be a key holder, temporarily with no pay raise. I would be opening and closing the store and registers as well as handling money in the safe. I would also still have my obligations as a sales associate. . After researching online, I asked for temporary pay raise of $2 which allowed my manager to negotiate if needed…

What’s the Strategy Consultant pay (promotion from Strategy Analyst) at Accenture Strategy in London and NYC? In London, I know the Strategy Analyst pay is severely underpaid (33.5k + 5k = 38.5k 1st and 2nd year, plus performance based bonuses) compared to other strategy houses but interested to see if it balances out at consultant level and if it’s the same issue in NYC.

I'm a college student who is in desperate need for in internship in my field (information technology). I need 400 hours or I can't graduate. I am having a hard time because I have no experience. Please help. Any information would be helpful.
Have received a competing offer. Tbh I have no interest in leaving Accenture (for a variety of reasons), but wanted to see if I can use it as leverage for more money + promotion outcome. From what I understand I have a really good chance at the L7 promo in the upcoming mid year results. How do I navigate this?
Currently at C level making 84k (federal, non MBA, technology) in DC Metro area. In line for SC promotion Aug 2018. If I were to switch offices to the NYC area, what kind of pay bump could I expect?
I got my diagnosis about 2 months in to my new job. And it was a *rough* start. I feel like I’ve got my feet under me now and I’m succeeding (even get major props from our clients). Given I had such a rough start, there was no bonus/raise and I honestly didn’t feel like I deserved it at year end. Now that I’m gaining confidence in my performance, how do I approach a salary conversation knowing I had big struggles with adhd at the start of my job?
Interested in users' compensation increases for different roles from raises/promotions/job hopping. Figured it could help show TC ranges in different industries/jobs for a variety of Years of Experience. Doesn't have to be year-by-year, I am just new:

Anyone hire a resume writer? Opinions of it in general? I’m thinking of making a career change and have trouble articulating what I’ve done in general terms.
I changed firms at the start of this year and it hasn’t been a good cultural fit. Recently got an industry job offer that seems to align much better with my interests and wants me start right away. But now the IRS extended the filing deadline. If you were me, would you try leave now that we’ve passed April 15 or wait until May 17th? The salary is identical and no signing bonus.

What salary to expect as a Contract Administrator in Construction Industry for a beginner role with a tier 1 or 2 company?
I’m a sales professional in the EdTech space. We were acquired about 2 years ago and there’s been some growing pains. I was promoted to this position in January under the impression that my bonus payout would be quarterly. Shortly after Q1, the comp said they had up to 60days to pay us out. I currently have no idea when I’m getting paid out or the precise amount. New bonus structure plans are coming out as we start a fiscal year. How would you go about renegotiating salary/ bonus payout?
I currently work for Public Housing. I started off as an Administration Assistant and got moved into a Rental technician role within 4 months. My manager said i would need to go through the interview process to negotiate more. I went from $20 to 22.25. The rental position pay is between $22-$29 per hour. I have a Bachelors in Human Services and Masters in Public and Nonprofit Administration. How much should I negotiate?
I received an offer for a big gaming company! I was interviewing for an admin position where the pay was flexible. Well the recruiter said they wanted to create a position for me doing the same thing but more data entry. However, the pay was a little bit lower & there’s was NO FLEXIBILITY!! Taking this would mean I would take a 5k Paycut. I know it’s not a lot, But the drive is further. Benefits are great w/bonuses. I’m not sure if I should accept? I know I can get a higher pay elsewhere.
Mid-year raise/promotion question:
I've been in my current role for a little over 1yr. We had annual reviews in March/early April and I got a 4.5% raise putting me at $60.5k base (nj-ny area). I didn't have a direct manager at the time so there wasn't really a discussion.
I was shout out this week's all-hands for doing a great job, I've hit/exceeded quota + brought in >$3M in potential revenue in H1. Do I have a leg to stand on asking my boss for a raise/promotion? Am I out of touch?
