I’ve decided it’s time to organize myself and my family. Get into some routines and reduce the haphazardness that’s been stressing us out. The main issues I’d like to address is consistency in kids schedule with sleep, food , bath, and after school activities. Also house work and chores. I’d like to make space in my life for fun and me time. Any tips ? Strategies that work for you?

I created "ready for school" as well as "ready for bed" checklists, because I was tired of doing it all myself. The boys (7 and 8) know what's expected of them and lights out happens at 8. Before school, I bought breakfast foods they could prepare themselves (fruit, yogurt, granola bars. After school activities I just put them both in the same activity since they are close in age.
Being organized is huge. Lunches are packed the night before, homework put away, bookbags by the door ready to go. Keep extra socks and shoes in the car in case somebody forgets his. (I have to drive them to school and pick them up.)

Haha I actually partially do this. I put my girl in her biker shorts for bed so that in the morning I just need to throw on her dress over it and jacket and we are off 💨

This chain gives me life. Thank you, ladies!

What works best for my family is we have a set bedtime routine Sunday-Thursday and morning routine Monday-Friday. It's not strict but we do keep to it within 15mins, unless it's a special occasion. Once the routine is established (and kept to), it sets expectation and tends to limit the craziness/hecticness for those times. For kids (aged 5 and 2), ours each have 2 activities per quarter (think fall, winter, spring, summer). That usually means the afternoon/weekend schedule change per season. The other things that has helped me/my family is we have embraced the less "stuff" is more mentality. It's so incredibly freeing, not having to clean so much! Happy to help you get established if you want more details or talk via PM. Good luck!

I absolutely approach this like a work project! We discuss on Sunday if the current schedule can work for us that week or if a change is needed. Including a tentative dinner plan. It's put on our fridge whiteboard. It helps though we do allow a lot of flexibility in case something comes up. You've got this!

The older and more active they become the more flexible your schedule has to become.

I was told by a company via email prior to the final interview, “that the maximum salary for this opportunity is $90k plus 10% bonus.” Does this mean that I should expect no more than the previously stated or expect to be offered the previously stated? Just don’t want to be blindsided if the offer is lower. Thanks!

I need some help. Quick background: I asked my S.O. to be my girlfriend a little over 1.5 years ago with us “dating” before that for about .5 years. During our dating stage, I went out and had multiple partners. She asked if we were exclusive during that dating phase and I said yes; however, during that time i had 3 partners in between us actually becoming an official couple. I lied to her and it’s hurt her. We’re currently doing couples therapy. Is this worth it? Will we ever move on?
