I work in marketing within a small team. Just myself, my manager and a part time designer that I personally manage. My manager doesn’t seem to do much work. He never tells me what he’s working on, provides no instructions, guidance or feedback, and in our weekly standup he will just list out the tasks I am personally working on. It’s a lot on my plate as I handle socials, email marketing and copyrighting, yet he gets a lot of my credit but he’s not doing anything? This is my 1st job.

I applied for my dream job for my first major career goal and was told not just no but never. Never would I be allowed to work in my company's legal department.

Silly question about processors…if a vendor is providing a service, but you have to create an account on the vendors platform to use the vendors services, is the information needed to create the account and use the platform (like username, password, emails, usage data, etc) considered data the vendor is processing on your behalf or would the vendor be controllers of that data? Is this usually covered in a DPA or just assumed that this info will be used in accordance with vendors privacy policy?

Not sure if this is the right place, but in a privately owned business located in a right to work state, is verbal abuse allowed and would swearing at and putting down an employee in front of a bunch of other employees and in front of customers be deemed verbal abuse? Can owners demand you work a certain amount of hours a week if it’s 100% commission?
