Looking for feedback for a Project Management Platform for SMBs, freelancers and Founders
Hi! A friend recently launched a Project Management software called Heycollab - I think it’s pretty cool and like the UI but I’d love to get more feedback - they’re very passionate about the product and would appreciate the help!

The best time to validate market interest is before you start building.
The next best time is NOW.
Pause whatever you’re building, and start talking to customers.
If you don’t know how to find customers, solve that problem first.
If you can find customers, then show them mock-ups and screens etc and perform “user testing” with them.
Makes sense. I built something quick and dirty for personal use and a buddy mentioned that is has broader applications beyond my specific needs.

Depends on the product and how you plan on acquiring users. Sometimes super niche products are hard to sell via online ads depending on the ability to hyper target your users.
Ideally you should do landing page tests to test your value props, and do some paid user testing to test your product out. Just because you can’t acquire users through Facebook ads isn’t the end of the world, but you do need to figure out how you’ll get users.
Thinking through that strategy and approach now!
You know that the answer is now.
Setup the site with some snapshots or videos.
Go get them!

Now! Start now. Even if your still developing.
Now. Try to build on Bubble or other low-code/no-code service if you can as an MVP. Test if it actually interests ppl.
You don’t have to build a working site either, sometimes just a sign up form with a good description of your product on the site is fine to start to see if there’s a need in market.
A few words of caution based on some failures I have had with Bubble and low code.
There are many things that can go wrong because it is relatively new and in a state of flux. I found that it is open to many variables and interpretations by developers on both the UI and backend.
If you need a contractor, I would suggest you only go with someone who has worked in no code/ low code for years and knows ALL the client/server, security and performance issues and how to get around them.
I agree that it can be an excellent way to start.
