I’ve had final interviews with Amazon, Goldman Sachs, BNY Mellon, and Bloomberg in the past two months. All of which ended in a rejection. I respect their decisions, but after putting time into preparing for the interviews and then going through them, receiving these rejections took a toll on me. I’ve asked them all for their feedback and they all had similar responses: Decisions were close among the teams. Ultimately, I didn’t have experience with ATS. I wish I could show them my will to learn.

You’ll never get “real” feedback because no one wants a lawsuit. If they’re saying you don’t have experience with the ATS, then you don’t, because that’s a concrete data point.

Next interview explain why or how you’d overcome that.

I would look at this article. Most companies are using there ATS wrong anyways.

This gave me a different perspective. Thanks for sharing!

I have two more interviews coming up and would love if someone could help me with ATS resources! TIA :)

Q: for FAANG recruiters, do candidates get a reject stamp after failing even at the later stages?
I advanced to the last stage at
Facebook (Meta) around a year ago but failed on my last interview, a combination of not being familiar with the process and not having chemistry with the interviewer.
A friend who is a hiring manager recently recommended me and this time without even a HR call I received a straight up thanks but no thanks email.
Does this mean I’ve been permanently black listed?

Hello All. I am a recent licensed attorney in NY and AZ. A former judge from Albania. I hold a JD from ASU. Unfortunately, being only focused on trademark associate positions, I have not landed my first year associate job. Actually working in house as a trademark paralegal. Do you remember how did you get your first job as a trademark attorney? Where is a good place I should send my resume in AZ, NY, or for remote? New in the States and I do not have such network! Thanks

I feel like I'm making a very basic error here, but I'm not sure what. I'm interested in opportunities with Google's Professional Services Organization (PSO). However, my applications to PSO, to date, always end with a standard reject email. I've tried applying three times. Don't plan on applying again anytime soon. But every time I've rewritten my resume to super closely match the requirements of the role. Is there something concrete PSO recruiters are looking for? I am 2xGCP certified.

Any ideas that people have on how to network/break into circles of tech startups? Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
