I’ve had pain and discomfort lately and visited a gyno this week. When they examined me, they mentioned a endometrial (?) cyst on my ovary that I didn’t process fully, and prescribed low-hormone BC to manage the pain. After the visit, I did research and it appears this is a late-stage result of endometriosis, which I have never been diagnosed with (no previous gynos have ever mentioned it). Has anyone had one or have experience with endometriosis? I’m concerned about my fertility (still young).

Yes I have a stage 4 endometriosis. I have had 3 surgeries to remove scarring. Unfortunately it keeps recurring and the only way to slow it down is to start taking BC pills.
Keep a tab on it by having regular ultrasounds to ensure that the scarring is not destroying your ovaries or Fallopian tubes or it doesn’t leave scarring in your uterus ( as the implantation might be more difficult ).
You can still naturally conceive or go through the IVF process like I did. And it is possible to get pregnant - source I’m pregnant with my first child 😃. Let me know if you have any questions or want to chat.

Congratulations! Wishing you and your little one the best! I’m mostly going through a strange spectrum of emotions, one of which is obviously frustration at myself and my previous providers for not catching this earlier. Endometriomas seem to be a pretty sure sign of endo. and I’ve mentioned pain associated with intercourse and other symptoms for years. I’m due to get results from my other tests early next week so I’m hoping to speak with her a little more about what she thinks and how to move forward. My partner is being unsurprisingly unsupportive and this whole situation (amid a pandemic) is throwing me for a loop. So thank you for the kind words and hope ❤️

ADHD medication with high Blood Pressure?

I found ADHD meds helpful when I worked in consulting in my 20s. I stopped the meds when I went back to school. Also have had High BP since late 20s. 15 years away, I am back in consulting and loving it, however my difficulties juggling so many projects/tasks is holding me back. I know I would benifit from some ADHD medication but my Dr won’t prescribe any with my history of BP (controlled with BP meds). Anyone else gone through this? Any tips?

Who are people using for auto and homeowners insurance? Currently paying Erie $878 per year for 2016 BMW 428i in Arlington, no claims or tickets last few years. Just did an online quote with Progressive, and for identical coverages it was $200 less, BUT their homeowners was about $500 more so total cost worse. Geico comes in higher too.

My question is: is it reasonable to ask for a $40k sign on bonus to account for what I’m leaving here? How do you go about negotiating that?

How much does it actually cost to have a baby with our insurance? Pregnancy through birth costs are pretty covered by insurance though. Would love your thoughts!
