I’m turning 30 next month and it’s kind of hitting me. I’ve been reflecting on my post college years and feel like I wasted my 20s by focusing on work vs living life. I’ve lost most of my friends in the process, have never had a serious girlfriend, am chronically stressed/just hanging on and am not happy. I’m career/money motivated but really I’m not even doing well money wise despite making manager faster than normal,a job I don’t even like.

What Ime udoka ( Celtics coach) did was wrong, but such matters are btn him, Nia Long and the woman he cheated with. Celtics had zero business intervening in the matter by banning him for a year. These were two consenting adults and both executives. Seems to me there is a deeper motivation for this.
Plus we spend a great deal if time at work, if we can't have consensual relationship with our peers then humanity is doomed..

I have a confession to make. I love my family but I feel so weighed down by the responsibilities (I am a woman). Sometimes I wish I were a single man and had no responsibilities at all. Just do things on my terms purely. Like just work longer hours. Work out remaining hours. Eat out. I find that I am much more ambitious regarding my career than my friends. I work a corporate job, have a consulting business, and I’m getting my masters degrees.

I love my friends, their focus is just in different aspects of their lives and that’s awesome but I often wish I had a few friends who I could talk about career development, goals, etc with.

I want to hear you consent so hard...and then whisper it back again and again and again.
