I’ve heard of companies changing their policies on this but my wife is expecting and it has me wondering - how long is paternity leave at your company and do you feel like it’s enough time? Has it always been structured that way or have they updated it recently?

16 weeks paid at bofa with option to take 10 additional weeks unpaid. Can’t dock bonus, doesn’t take away from vacation allotment. Really nice perk.

It’s great! Only stipulation is that you’re employed for 1 year before you’re eligible

Company upped it to 6 last year. Great perk, necessary.

Our company doesn't have specific language on paternity leave. I think it is something that will be changing and updated. Right now its just how ever much PTO you have that you an take.

At Wells it’s 4mo so same as at BofA. Don’t know any other details as I’m not a father yet 😅

Awesome!!

BofA leave mentioned earlier; lots of positive movement cross-industry to increase leave time the last 5 years.

It’s never enough time; take all the leave your company allows (and unpaid if you like). You don’t get that time back.

Generally curious how many companies offer phone reimbursement? My last gig did not but the current one does. Legally it seems, all employers are required to do so if we use our phone in literally any capacity (video call, slack, teams, emails etc). How prevalent is the issue of not reimbursing phone dues?

Anyone have advice for advancing in your current role? My co-worker was hired in at manager level but somehow “proved” he was actually doing director level work and got a title promotion and salary increase in less than a year. I also went above and beyond my job as well (covering for him for a month while he was away on paternity leave) while taking on other projects outside of my job title and got zip—no raise or recognition. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi all, I have a question regarding retirement accounts. I am not sure if I should choose a Roth or 401k (company has 4+2% match). Currently 23, base salary is ~100k and investments have brought 45k this year which has me teetering between a 22-24% tax bracket. Wondering what the usual tax bracket is of people retired (around 65yo) as I’m not sure anything would bring in significant income with the exception of investments. In my case would a Roth make sense? Appreciate any answers!!
