I’ve hit the point where I’d rather be a stripper than work in public accounting. Any tips on how to look for new career paths? Should I be talking to someone at my firm about my concerns?

Need pics to determine whether stripping is a viable career

If you have the skills for that, you could probably also do campus recruiting. Same requirements: be attractive and good at making someone believe you like them.

I don't know about stripping, but I used Amazon credit from Christmas to buy GMAT study guides. Plan on switching to banking or, with boatloads of luck, a buyside gig.

See if you’re a good fit for anything internal (resource management, HR, recruiting, etc) or if you’re well and truly done, there are sooo many other options out there.

I think you should chat with your mentor/coach about how you're feeling and why. I hated a job I was on and they guaranteed I would never be put on it again. I think it's worth at least giving them the opportunity to fix whatever you're unhappy with.

If you're set on leaving, find a recruiter (tons on LinkedIn) that you click with and genuinely like to help you explore the other job opportunities available in your market. You may find that public accounting isn't so bad compared to what is our there (or at least I did). Just don't take the first job you're offered as a way to "escape" public accounting and run away, be strategic. It will ultimately be a career move and shape your future if you leave, after all.

I guess you could start taking some pole dancing lessons

I hear it's a great workout if you need cover

If your heading in that direction, consider working at a brothel in Nevada. Pay is surely higher.

I would advise to talk to someone within the firm. Honesty and transparency is appreciated (if you talk to the right people)!

like

I guess in seriousness you should consider what it is about public accounting that made you want to do it and where else you can get this from

EFA is another trade betting on the economy strengthening. This ticker is developed markets X-US. It is a difficult trade because the longs are much more variable for moves than the greeks would predict, but they even out over time. This morning is a good example with the ticker up barely, but he long down significantly. It is easy to over react and over trade it.
I got in when the election was pretty well sealed and figured Biden would be much better for global trade and global companies.

Actually I am getting 21.18 fix 12 percentage variable in my current company...with 5.5 year work experience in analytics ...I had offer of PWC also 17.65 but left. (now I regret lot)..my question is in my cv I worked only for manufacturing company in house analytics...do not have any service base /client experience...so after 2-3 year if I try for big4 for manager role then they will take me??

While you can make the argument it’s been going on for longer, the GOP has spent the last decade telling their base not to believe anyone but them. This gave us the Tea Party and Freedom Caucus. Are there any companies hiring right now that are willing to sponsor a recent grad that was studying in the US as a F1 student?

What remote jobs are you all doing? Would love some insight. I've come to the conclusion that a gig with minimal social contact is honestly best for me so that I can listen to my music and concentrate essentially. I do IT consulting now and am in the market for a new job. My salary requirements are pretty low, and I have a pretty good resume imo. Any advice?

I strongly believe new hire onboarding should not sit in the HR/People Operations space but should sit in the HR Coordinator/HR Generalist space. As a new hire, they should be able to have a confirmed point of contact especially during their first 90 days and People Ops should not be that point of contact unless there’s system or access issues.
