Got an offer from Capgemini and they have given doj on 11th july. Later I got the last working day from my current employer which is 29th July. I asked Capgemini to revise my joining date. They agreed and even confirmed that over mail. Now the hr is not picking up my calls since last couple of days. Even she is not responding to my mails. I have the offer letter and their confirmation on mail that they will revise my doj once I get the lwd from my current employer. Now whom should I contact?
Just increased my rent by about 500. We just signed a lease agreement for 2510 per month after utilities and such, so I’ll be paying 1255 individually.
My income after tax is 3,440 per month. Is this too much to spend on rent? I live in Chicago by the way.
I currently spend 720 per month on rent but the living conditions are less than desirable. I try to budget, save, invest in any way that I can, but my living space is just really important to me so I wanted to get something nicer this year
Received an offer from Accenture to join at Career level 11. Tech stack: SAP ABAP.
Current CTC: 5.75 fixed + 10% Variable
Offer: 7.5 fixed + 21% Variable.
Is it a wise decision to switch from Deloitte to Accenture at this level.

Transferring to Chicago office and continuing to travel for work. Currently delta platinum. Should I switch to United or AA and will either status match?
I have a question today.
Today one of my colleague is in diellama.
He is into technical IT With 6.5yrs of Admin exp.
Now, he is on bench with no project. He got an option to move into PMO work, as junior PM in the same company. Whether this would be right decision or not ? What are the pros and cons.?
Needed your inputs please.

Wondering what people think of tattoos. I am thinking of getting my first one (pretty small), on my arm (a spot that would be concealed by long sleeves, but visible in the summer). I’m nervous this would change the way people would see me around the office, or impact people’s perception of me moving forward in my career. I know at least one senior associate that has a tattoo, but it is quite high on his arm and so even short sleeve polos sort of cover it. I’m in Real Estate/Finance.
Ughhh I just wanna go home and try Brigitte. :(

Hello, I'm new here!!
The month before the company announced an optional buyout (quitting for a severance package), from a Team Leader: “they’re telling us that we need to get rid of our lowest performers, so if you see that one of your friends isn’t here one day, you know why”
I have two coworkers in Nashville and New York who will not stop talking to me about anime. What can I do to tell them I'm not a weeb??

So I have been with this company for 6 months, immediate supervision is almost never in office and team members are never here to help. They all wfh except I’ve been told “I have to be in office so I can better learn” poor leadership and hardly any training… I was given a PIP for not performing to their standards. Also told I don’t tell the truth. Why are company’s like this?
Oh how I long for a remote position...
The owners of the agency decided it was a fantastic idea to get the overhead lights replaced while we work below them. One guy has music on his phone playing. Happy Monday everyone! 🥴
I was in the office (pre-c19) on the Friday after thanksgiving so I could get some stuff done while it was empty. A peer Director was also there and asked me for help with something. I helped him a for while, then he said, “this is really helpful, I have to go to an all team meeting for 30 minutes, but could we finish after that?” Me: “an all team meeting today?” Him: “yeah, I always schedule an all team meeting on days like this so people can’t pretend to wfh when they are really on pto.” smh 🤦♂️
I just heard a couple of days ago that an employee was fired by HR for booking a first class ticket that was *approved* by their direct management. The employee was required to make a trip for a work function that involved C-levels and others from their department in a team building type of event. The employee spent their own money to make this, and to boot is a single mom.
Is it me or does this seem insanely unfair and out of left field? How does management not get in trouble??
