I am still waiting to hear my promotion decision from M to SM. Counselors have been told to let people know about promotions by this Friday. The people's team in my practice....
Got a great job offer. About 25% pay raise. I think it’s a fair offer but I know I was under paid at Deloitte and I could get $5-10k more if I asked. I’m serious about this job and wondering if is it worth potentially jeopardizing a good potential role for a few thousand?
Any tips on disciplining a newly “Terrible” two year old. He usually just laughs when I raise my voice and he enjoy himself if trying to give him a time out so not sure he learns much from it.
My GF has $20k in student loans. Should she do a 10 year plan or try and pay in chunks? She makes $70k but expects to make $100k in 6 months from her promotion.
What if we created a democratic promotion process for organisational promotions? People vote who they want as their manager/leader every 2 years for each team. Pros and cons anyone?
I took a new job that I thought was a promotion, but after three months it’s clearly a lateral move. Do I discuss it with my new boss or should I just reset my expectations?
Have an offer from a dream company but I'll need to go in at a lower level. Knowing that I can bring a lot of value to the company (read- I know my worth), I negotiated with the hiring manager to have a level/comp review 6 months after employment. If I hit all my goals (ie, prove myself) within that time frame, I'll get a promotion and salary adjustment.
Should this be in writing in the offer letter?
How detailed should it be? I assume I won't know what goals to set till I start...
If you joined a company (PE backed growth stage co) in November, is it justified to expect a raise (especially given the high inflationary environment, ridiculously competitive job market, etc.) and a bonus in the Feb annual review cycle?
How many percent raise and bonus should a senior going from S1 to S2 expect in raises and bonus?
How do you negotiate a raise? I hit my 2 year in a couple of months & no one has brought it up.
I’m currently an Account Supervisor and looking to ask for a raise and or a promotion. Wondering what all of you make (slavery ranger) as account supervisor or sr. Project Managers ?
Another year without a raise. This time I was told that the industry is in a tough place and that the agency isn’t giving out raises. So if anyone is looking for an Art Director I’m for hire 🙋🏻♀️
Looking for some career advice!! I’m up for manager promotion next year but I’m toying with the idea of trying out SaT( currently in audit). I don’t know much about SaT to fully commit yet, but I feel like I’m not too late in my career to make the jump. After 4 years in audit, I finally feel in control and know what to do, but I also can’t see myself doing this for the rest of my life. Anyone out there who made the transition later as manager? Even if not at manager level, how do you like it?
I got a raise a couple of days ago because I’ve proven to be the most valued employee on my team, yet I still can’t land a remote position and I’ve been hunting for months. 😢 Underwriters Laboratories
Ladies - going to negotiate a payrise next week. Received an unsatisfactory (<$2k) bump with promotion. Getting offers $60k above current pay from industry. Am nervous... Any tips / anecdotes? TIA 🙏
