Here's a couple of ideas.
Start a journal where you record at leats 1 new thing you've learned each day. Then continue to review those thing quickly each day until you feel like you have them memorized.
Write down the working steps for your projects and then follow them checklist each time. This way you don't have to just remember everything. Update the list as you progress and find efficiencies.
It comes with time. I worked on provisions for a year until finally everything clicked and I was able to join conversations with managers. But I agree with EY1, if there are things you are struggling to understand, write down your thoughts and questions. If you figure it out, go back and amend. There are still some Journal entries that I go back and reference every time I get tripped up on something, that way I don't have to reinvent the wheel
A few months won't make you an expert in something. Keep in mind those above you have years [decades, sometimes] of experience. Just make sure you keep learning, say yes and show up. Don't beat yourself up to badly, I'm sure you know more than you think!
Save your review points. Before you submit a return for review, read over your review points and make sure you didn't make any of those errors. Eventually it will be second nature to check for those things
