Have you practiced with someone acting as the interviewer? Or only reviewed on your own?

Maybe that's where they can help. Make sure they're going hard on you. This is the time practice after all.
Also, if you've practiced and you have the framework down, maybe you just need to give yourself a time to think and collect yourself. Count it out in your head before you respond.

have you recorded yourself? It's painful, but super effective!
Love this McK1, my friends are too forgiving of my gaffs!
I second the ask someone to be a tough interviewer, I’ve done this with a couple of friends where I’d been the tough interviewer and vice versa.. In addition, it may help to say ‘can I take a minute to think that through’ give yourself the time to think of a thorough response! :)
Thank you for this BCG1!
Have you identified any patterns in the types of questions or specific answers that cause you to freeze up?
What sort of questions do you handle well?
Good analysis 👍🏻
Is it because you don’t know the some or all of the content you need to answer those more tactical questions that you freeze, or is it because you feel time pressured?
And also curious what subject area/roles the questions are about.

I’m the same way. I’m about to pay for a professional interview coach. I’ve also tried to write out STAR answers, practice, etc. But something is not working and I need help. It’s a financial investment for sure but I figure if I’m willing to spend money on other elements of personal/professional development (the gym, grad school, work clothes, etc.) I should be ready to invest in this 🤷🏻♀️
Practice practice practice! Once you’ve gone through your STAR response enough times it just becomes a script that you’ve memorized. Then you can add your personality and emphasis to the response.
