Hi all,
I have two campus EY Deloitte on the table from Deloitte Tax (BTS), and EY Tax (DSG). Both are located in the SF Bay Area. Deloitte is paying 2k higher base and a 2k higher bonus.
I have to make my decision by the end of next week, so I’d appreciate some input and opinions on which offer I should take.

Longest run since January of 2020!

I’m in your same boat. Frankly, it’s a life long process. Some days are bad, most days are good. But any day sober is a good day.
I am none of those things.
I just wanted to say good luck and you should be very proud of the start!
Thank you, S1. It will be tough so your support is very appreciated
Hey OP. First of all, great job on realizing your addiction and seeking help! Your road to recovery is long but you’re doing the right things.
I’ve struggled with substance abuse and addiction for a while. The hardest part is that the consulting lifestyle inherently rewards people who take a hit for the “extra push” and to “get ahead.” It’s been a driving force and a struggle of mine for years.
Happy to chat, feel free to DM me. You are supported in all of this!
Really cool to hear you’ve decided to take those steps. Congratulations! I don’t have advice, but think that it’s incredibly impressive.
You and only you control what ends up in your hand. It feels like you're fighting the devil inside you, but you can always get through it, and it's usually not as bad as you think. Be regimented about a tapering program / step down process to wean yourself off to try to prevent any DT's. Alcohol withdrawal is one of two WDs that can kill you, so be careful.
One thing that helped me is thinking of it this way: the percentage of people who make it out is very small. Are you trying to half-ass it and end up in the 70th percentile or below (and you know where that leads) or are you going to give it your all, actually dedicate yourself to beating this thing and become part of a small group of elite individuals who fought a war against themselves and won/are currently winning?
