I also get monthly massages at massage envy. It's like 70 bucks a month.... it's sweet
@Op- family member is a doctor that performs back surgeries . Not many people realize this but the root cause may not be flights. See list below-
1. You have two wheeled luggage that you drag behind you
2. Heavy messenger bag that you wear on one side
3. Bad posture while working; caused either because your screen is below your eye line or bad client chairs
4. You have a poor core
All of the above are easily fixable. You will notice a big difference. Good luck!
The chronic works for me every time👌🔥😤💨
Stretching exercises... went through this and exercises helped me a lot...
Yoga
Get a money clip or a ridge wallet. I stopped sitting on my wallet during work and flights and feel 100x better. Any front pocket wallet will do.
Understanding the root cause is key to fixing it. But you do you.
How long did you try the yoga for? I had the same problem with flying/sitting in a desk and it took a solid month of daily yoga to get the pain gone - now I do it 5 days a week to keep it loose it's the only thing that's helped me, and if I go a week or so without it I definitely notice a difference
Any exercise that works your core will help
Thanks guys, unfortunately all of these boxes were checked as staples in my life already :(
It started shortly after I started weekly travel, and that's what my doctor believes...that's not really the point of the post though
Man up
BCG, if I say it's from flying, and I can't stop flying due to the nature of my work, I am asking for other advice. I've gone to PT, doctor, etc...given lots of people travel here, I thought some folks might have some worthwhile advice

If your back pain is now constant you could try a long term NSAID like Mobic. Also some lumbar support while flying should help keep your spine aligned better.
Also OP make sure your hamstrings are very stretched out every morning especially before flying. A lot of chronic low back pain is made worse by hamstring tightness.
I didn't say stop flying. 🤦♂️
SC2, these are the recs I was looking for. Thanks!
Yoga and Pilates
A lot of back pain/issues could be due to extremely tight, locked muscles around your glute area (hip flexors, piriformis muscles, etc.). I've recently been doing the 'Limber 11' (YouTube it) and it may potentially help you. If this is your root cause, constant stretching/foam rolling is key.
