I have been with my current company for about 3 years now and currently at 75k plus employer paid benefits and decent pension plan. Due for review next month and expecting to be offered a 5k raise. However with 6 years of relevant experience I would like to be close to 85k. We hireda new team member for the same role as me as the business is growing. They came in at 75k which bothered me a little because I pretty much began this department and put in a lot of processes. More in comments.

Hi all! My team has grown by three people in the last month. For the last 4 years it had solely been my responsibility for all job functions within my team. My manager has now added 3 additional “me”s and keeps asking me to make them copies of me. Fine with me. HOWEVER - I’ve now come to find out that one has a higher job grade, title, etc from me off the get. I have 9 years in the role, 12+ years in a corporate setting, I am by all accounts a hardworking, efficient, and well regarded…

I am a CPA based out of Canada. I have 7 years of corporate finance and FP&A work under my belt. My fiancé will be starting dental school in NZ by Feb’23. Aiming to be a direct flight away from her, I have started looking into work opportunities in Australia. Can any expat here share their experience with getting a job as a foreigner? Are there any recruitment firms that specialize in working with expat talent? What was the biggest culture shock moving to Australia?
I got offer from wipro(citi bank) but I am not gonna join as I have another better offer.
But my onboarding has already started on the project as I am getting mails.
So is it going to create any problems if I don't join.

RECRUITMENT - CONSULTANCY OR SALES ?
Having spent 30 years recruiting globally for VC backed tech startups and global multinationals, I am interested to share my thoughts and experience with the next generation of recruiters in the hope that it goes some way towards accelerating your careers. I'd like to start by talking a little bit about what I believe the mindset of a successful recruiter should look like.
I love all these news outlets pumping out articles talking about the recent 'crash' in cryptocurrencies. A few months ago the news was 'will Bitcoin break 3k?'. Now it is 'crashing' to $3500 lmao. Hodl long term people

I have 3.5 + years of supply chain experience in procurement, inventory management, demand forecasting, WMS consulting, ERP/MRP, etc. would anyone by chance able to assist me with a referral with Apple? Can send my resume/LinkedIn information if needed of course. Thanks in advance!
I have an offer to do some consulting for a company based out of the UK (I am in the US). The job would not go through a consulting company but would be directly with the company. I have not done any consulting before so I am not sure how it works, what I would need to set up (they mentioned that I would start a LLC and bill them directly, no idea how to do that), how to determine the tax implications of this, or what hourly rate I would expect. Can anyone offer advice?
Does anyone work for a company that is still hiring? It feels like all companies are freezing hiring these days.
Bought 44 shares of VOO today, feels good!
What do you when one of your schools insists that a recommendation should come from current supervisor if you didn’t plan on letting them you were applying? I don’t want it to count against my admission that it wasn’t a current supervisor 🥴

I have been working with Cognizant for over 2 years now. The client that I’ve been working with recently asked me to apply for an internal position with them. I did so, however, now the client is saying that they are not planning to disclose this information to Cognizant and that I shouldn’t too.
I am sceptical about this situation. Can I be in trouble for joining the client’s company?
This is probably a dumb post, I'm interested in startups and would like to learn more/research what's out there. What are some good resources to get going? I've looked at AngelList - any other resource/suggestions? For reference, 6 YOE in consulting, focused on data.
Is it just me or does this forum lean lit?

Thinking about a Senior leadership MD offer for digital SAP role at PWC vs staying at Deloitte - Thoughts ? Good move ?
It would be interesting if our CEOs would spend a few days on an actual project, dealing with clients, people and project challenges at the “rubber meets the road” level. I think it would be quite eye-opening for many would have spent decades in the C-suites.
Does your firm provide transparency in it's income distribution? Do you know what your peers make?
Deloitte Partners - I’m being recruited by Deloitte as a direct admit but kinda hesitant b/c my perception is the mothership is too big that I’d be “just another number”. Is my perception wrong?
In talking with peers from top tier firms, it appears like we are all going thru a similar grind internally. Feels like it is all good intentioned but overwhelming nonetheless. Do u feel differently?
Any partners think of leaving early, even if it shortcuts retirement benefits? Tired of the grind and being treated like an employee.
Which title sounds more senior: Associate Director or Principal Director? It’s a pure ego question to be answered with your guts.
Leaders, Could you share your thoughts, that you are willing and able to share, regarding:
1. How are your clients viewing post-Covid in-office work?
2. How do you think expectations for face-to-face work and travel (and the associated expenses) will change for your teams based on client expectations?
3. What are the views of your teams re: willingness / eagerness to travel?
Any recommendations for great executive presence courses you may have taken (preferably online given current times or bootcamp like)? Did it help incrementally or significantly? Thanks in advance.
Guys. For an elite group. This bowl is SO boring
What are your thoughts on Kearney? It seems like they have had a steady steam of partners leave the firm in the past three years. Is this a sign of trouble in the water or normal churn?
Have any partners seen their engagement stopped or delayed due to client policy restricting travel due to Covid virus?
I'm an Accenture Managing Director considering a move to Deloitte. I've got 15 - 20 yrs possibly left in my career. Any thoughts on Managing Director vs Principal?
I believe EY partners by now have received the deal offers. What the view? Are you guys going ahead with the split?
Different teams are using it differently, and in some teams it has become a stepping stone (although more realistically, it’s been an outlet to provide some upward movement to directors who would otherwise be stuck without promotion for many years).
Instead of “realistically” I would say “historically.” There a number of teams that have now embraced this as a new path to fully replace the D->P admit process in order to provide more recognition and comp improvement while building the partner case
It makes it easier for when they spin-off the non-audit practices
At KPMG, MD is required role before partner for Advisory and Tax and has been like that for a decade. Only audit still promotes direct to partner and that seems to be driven by state accountancy rules in some instances. There are still a few Audit MDs too and it’s sort of unclear how they use that role.
At ZS we have only one path and no MD role so curious to understand do some folks stay MD for ever and is that considered a reasonable career path?
Of course. It’s a significant accomplishment freed of forced retirement. Good gig.
The ratio of Director —> Partner at PwC far outnumbers Director —> MD. The latter is really used in exceptional situations
There a number of teams that have embraced this as a new path to fully replace the D->P admit process in order to provide more recognition and comp improvement while building the partner case
They hired so many of our directors at Ps that they cannot sustain their internal path to P.
