I’ve seen the same job description from three different small business firms (exact same job description language). From what I can tell, it’s all for the same client and might be for the same federal client. Anyone know if this is typical? Helping a friend navigate the federal / government contracting job search but he thought he would be duplicating job applications. Thanks!

Probably three smalls who have submitted proposals, planning ahead in case they win. Copy and paste from the RFP.

like

Yeah. Huge “value”. Lol. Probably billing the gov at $60-80 per hour or something ridiculously low

Sometimes the firms want you to be exclusive to them. Ask if it is a Key Personnel position, because you don’t want your name showing up as KP on multiple submittals. Better yet ask the recruiter for the solicitation # so you can view the RFP for yourself. Most won’t have it or won’t be bothered to get it for you, which is a telling sign bc it is not that hard.

Unsold role...

Thank you! I’ll let him know to proceed with caution! And ask the right questions.

Very typical. They bid on the same work and and are attempting to plan ahead

Helpful suggestions please.
