Stalls like this are totally normal! Usually it will pass if you stick to it. If it continues, you may need to think about increasing your caloric deficit either by decreasing your calories or increasing your workouts to burn more calories.
A cheat isn’t a binge , it’s a cheat - it’s one-two cookies, not a whole sleeve
On a different note, find replacements that cover your tastes, like I had chocolate protein bars to cover the sweet tooth craving
Have you cheated at all? If you’ve been really strict with your diet I’d let loose for a meal or two, and then get back at it the next day.
Shocking your body works because it’s a change of pace from what’s it’s become accustomed to and will have to work harder to recalibrate after you mix up what you’ve been doing.
How are your workouts with the lower carbs? I love fats so I tried cutting carbs too but realized I perform better with more carbs. It's also dependent on how much weight you've lost and over how long, and whether you've done any maintenance phases
Because I’d love to lose 30 pounds in that time frame
Fasting will accelerate it. Plus a cheat day will help your body readjust and have more metabolic flexibility.
A few tips:
Try intermittent fasting. It was a total game changer for me. You can start with not eating from 8pm-8am, then increase it to 8pm-12pm (next day).
Try a high fiber diet — lots of berries, whole grains. It’ll help your digestion. It is important to control the number of calories that you eat, but also make it easier for your body to digest these calories.
Cut all refined sugar. All of them. There’re a lot of alternatives to refined sugar.
Limit meat consumption. Meat causes body inflammation, contains a lot of calories (especially fat) and is very hard to digest.
Try intermittent fasting here's a vid from my channel that may help you, its definitely changed my life and I no longer restrict anything, its all about a sustainable life I feel.https://youtu.be/OP2s4WYO1BY
Thanks all! I’ve been doing one “cheat meal” a week where I add a potato to a meal. I was wondering if that was enough to throw off a whole week of progress but it seems like I should keep up that habit?
You’re able to do that once a week? I really have a hard time doing anything other than maintaining weight if I do that. I usually only really do a true cheat meal if I’m going out for like a birthday, wedding or it’s a holiday (so maybe once or twice a month).
