I’ve worked at my current district for 3 years. Principal finally came into my room for a 15-minute observation for the 1st time. My AP has visited often by hasn’t checked my lesson plans since Jan. 11 (Google Sheets shows when someone opens doc). I’m torn between feeling trusted and ignored. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I teach in a high school that doesn’t tell us what we are teaching until a couple of weeks before school starts ( not talking about schedule, I mean the actual classes). We start in three weeks. I would spend an hour or two each day beginning August 1st getting things organized, revising, and adding to my lessons. My teacher friends from other districts seem surprised that we are not informed yet. My previous school told us in May. How many of you don’t know what classes you are teaching yet?

What kind of lesson plan forms do you use?

Hi! Can someone recommend a source for learning how do simple, fun music lessons on Zoom? I teach first grade and use music for my transitions. I would also like to play songs for them with my guitar, but am concerned it won’t sound good on zoom (the guitar, not my voice, which is bad, we established that long ago)

What is a decent pay for a project manager at a commercial construction company. Basically I am trying to find out if I am under paid or not. So I will give some details. I work in central Pennsylvania. I am 24 years old. I have a physics and mathematics degree with a 3.98GPA. I have been a project manager for about 10 months now. Prior to this I managed a painting company. I grew up in construction and had construction and architectural classes in high school, hence how I got into this field.

When you make an offer on home what all cost you ask the seller. I am asking 3% closing, deep cleaning, 1 yr warranty on appliances. The closing in MD runs into 12-15k which is major expense so does asking seller to pay is normal practice. How long a builder installed carpet and appliances generally last assuming normal wear and tear. In 10-15 yr old house i believe most of these needs a new replacement

Help! I’m a decent teacher but admin has a target on my back this year & NO ONE knows why. I’m receiving my second write-up for an absolutely ridiculous reason (my rep agrees that it’s total crap but they manipulate the wording just-so to make it sound legit), but a third & I can be fired. I have to finish the year where I am to have my student loans forgiven. I’m terrified to go to work every day. A large part of my future is on the line & I’m stuck. It’s so unjust but I have no recourse.

How hard is CFA level 1 comparing to the CPA exam?

I took a promotion last year. My new Mgr doesn’t develop me, I spend 5+hours/day in meetings, I get 100+emails/day, and I had no onboarding. The department has tons of attrition and it seems like senior leadership is turning a blind eye. I love the company but the department is just bad/chaotic.
