I've worked for the solo for over 20 yrs. An incident happened w/him at a conference in 2022. He got drunk & was acting inappropriate/unprofessional. I was made to feel uncomfortable. I had a tough few months after this happened. I nearly quit. I thought I had moved passed it all but I'm feeling like a lot of anger/resentment has resurfaced. I want to go to therapy to help deal with it and want to make a WC claim b/c my health ins is high ded and I shouldnt have to pay out of pocket. Thoughts?

Check your states statute of limitations on mental/emotional claims first. Being he is solo, while not legal, I'm sure he may retaliate and move for termination. It's a fine line to walk, but you could also see if there are any sliding fee scale counselors or groups. My daughter goes to one that is on a sliding fee scale to process her friends suicide she witnessed, so they are out there you just have to look for them. Good luck!

Given that you’ve worked for him for 20 years, can you ask him to pay for therapy? He might be willing rather than see a claim. Do you plan to quit and burn him down on the way out, or are you planning to continue with him and just need to find a way to get past it? Was it rape-y or more out of line behavior?

I tried to get on anti-depressants in college. The doctor at student health said I wasn’t depressed enough, too high functioning, well-adjusted, etc. I didn’t want to argue, I was afraid of coming off as “drug seeking”. It’s been a few years and it’s gotten worse. I don’t enjoy the things I used to love, I don’t want to do anything other than sleep, I’m struggling with an eating disorder, work feels like torture. I’m terrified of going back to a doctor and either hearing the same thing or having it go the other way and get put in some kind of in-patient program. How do you do this?

In preparation for a new stim cycle(my 3rd), started bcp and had a SHG /ultrasound last week. Was sore for 2-3 days after. My period came as predicted but the soreness/burning is back. I called the doctor and they said just monitor, maybe you are sensitive to ultrasounds etc. (had a ton of them before with no issues). I started shots and go back for another ultrasound Monday and I am worried that things feel off. Not asking for medical advice. Wondering if anyone experienced something similar?

New to the gym and have an etiquette question. In the weights area there are benches with a rack (think for bench presses) and benches with no rack. In my lifting routine I do benchpress, overhead press, and dumbbell rows. Is it ok to just stay on the same bench with a rack while I cycle through all three exercises? Or should I do the two barbell exercises (bench press and OHP) and then try to find an open bench with no rack for the dumbbell rows?

Happy Halloween! Hope everyone stays safe today. It has been two months since my last role at a law firm. I had only gotten one interview or no callbacks since then.

I am unsure if my resume is wrong in terms of not tailoring my resume or working for multiple law firms for a few months due to being hired through a recruiting agency.

What should I do to get more callbacks/interviews? Should I reach out to HR/Recruiter directly? Should I get a paralegal cert? Should I do the programs on Forage?
