Thank you for the healthy take on this🙂 I’m in a very similar boat in terms of worrying about separation anxiety but I’m hopeful that adding back some physical distance between work and personal life will restore some boundaries🙏

A much cleaner house during covid!? You’re literally a super hero. We all just sort of fell to shambles for a year. I’ve been back in the office a few months in a hybrid way and I can attest that helps a ton to have that separation!

Today was my first day (well, half day) back. It was great. I didn't get much done because I was setting up my office, registering a new office phone, updating my computer, etc. I'm excited to reclaim an identity outside of home. I think this will help with other areas where I've lost myself during the pandemic.

Have an offer in industry. It’s a relatively new company that is growing fast and lots of opportunity to move up quickly and make a difference. Salary increase wouldn’t be large but enough to make a difference. My heart wants to do it but there is risk involved - not as much stability as the Big 4 company I work for and I’m supporting a family. What do I do? Follow my passion or stay in the safe zone given things are still up in the air with Covid? I appreciate your opinion fishes!

Been here several years. Only just clicked to me how predatory Big 4 are. Business model is to use cheap, underpaid labor from college grads who can't go elsewhere or pay debts. Churn em and burn em.

What does vacation time look like outside of the United States? (Pls share where you live) When I was young, my family lived abroad and we were able to go on long vacations - sometimes as long as 6 weeks. My dad was an engineering consultant and we were by no means loaded with cash. It seemed to me that going on vacation for a long period of time was the norm in places like South America and Europe. Is this still true? I’d love to be able to do the same kind of things for my own kids one day.
