Hi all. Quick question from the Bloomberg employees here. Ive applied for few positions that I’m very qualified for and it feels like they don’t even look at resumes at all! How does the process of first review of the applications work? I apply one night and get a rejection email the next morning! It feels like it’s automated email and they don’t even bother to review my candidacy! Is it sone kinda trick I’m not aware of? I would appreciate any feedback.
anyone have any idea what is CTA approval?
HR: ok cool 🥲👍

What made you leave pe for public accounting?
How long have you been in public accounting?
Is your firm still close with you? Still in contact with old principals or mds?
Was your public accounting experience relevant, sector or otherwise for where you want to work?
Maybe try for a solid restructuring shop like a&m that’s like a lateral from public accounting since it’s a little closer with better pay or tbh partner at public problem isn’t a bad life man

What’s your skill set? Are you trying to go work for a PE/VC firm as an investment team member? Or doing fund accounting/firm finance? If the former, don’t have much advice, seems pretty impossible. If the later, feels very possible and there are likely tons of roles out there
