Does anybody have any advice when applying to postings with many applicants and getting noticed? The company I am interested in is Figma, and though I reached out to a few technical recruiters after applying through LinkedIn, I am wondering if there might be something more I could do that maybe I’m not thinking about. Also along those lines, if anybody here works for figma I would love the chance to connect

Product marketing might act as a stepping stone between the two?
If you can find a company that is squarely in the same industry as you were before or in marketing (i.e. a HubSpot or CRM tool or something), typically you can make a pretty good case for why they should hire you at a more junior PM level.
Alternatively, I'd look at product marketing or even a more marketing insights/analytics role of you're interested in that kind of thing (may lead to product analytics and data as a product or consumer product...).
Is there anything you can work out with your current company that will help you slide into this role? You may not need to change your role within the company, but do more and more PM tasks. You could then potentially change your title on your resume to reflect that, even if your company does not change your official internal title (most companies do not care if you externally alter your title, as long as it's not something ridiculous like saying you were a director or C-suite employee). For instance, you could eventually put your title as "Marketing & Product Management Associate" or something.
If not, offer to help the PM with tasks more and more. Then you can at least put in your job description those PM tasks that you took on. Apply for junior PM roles while highlighting that experience specifically, tell companies you have started transitioning to PMing, because you found you had a natural knack for [insert valuable PM skills). Eventually someone will think you're a good culture fit, acknowledge the skills you've built, and take a chance on you.
