I am in a dilemma. I am having 2.5 YOE earning around 10LPA.

Now, my family were also searching a girl in matrimonial site. But they always got disappointed when they spoke to any family from there as everyone asking that

'minimum mahine ka ek lakh toh hone hee chahiye, meri itni ladli ladki kaise reh skti itna compromise krke'

When I ask what the girl is doing, majority were recently started working in some HR position or call center earning 20k - 25k.

So Is this equality? 😅

I'm in the middle of a background check with Deloitte for a Project Delivery role. In the background check application I listed my previous employers - Cognizant/Teksystems etc but my resume only had the client names I worked at . Does this pose a problem if Deloitte HR compares my resume to the background check form ? Also my title within cognizant might have been an associate but my resume mentions the designation for the client. Is this a reason for concern? Will they ask me to justify it ?

Who is currently hiring entry-level OCM consultants? My close friend studied communications and organizational change, but found their way into logistics. They are looking for opportunities and I think they would be a much better fit as a consultant. My company’s hiring cycle ended so I’m seeing if I can help point them in the right direction before next year. Appreciate any pointers on certs that might help too! I have verbal offers from LinkedIn and actual offer from FB...this is for data analytics position...both at same level. Which one should I pick? My preference is good WLB and quality of work as against to total comp.

Has this happened to anyone? Where you go through the interview process - and they call you back saying you did great in the interview and that you'd be a great fit but the role has been filled. So they are going to pass you to other hiring managers and see if you'd be a good fit in the other teams? I'm so confused.

I worked in HR for 11 years, with my most recent role being HR Manager for a small company (12-60 employees). I shifted careers to Personal Training in December 2020 due to instability at the small company and my passion for health and wellness.

Now I am now looking to get back into an HR role, preferably in a Benefits Analyst or a Generalist role. What advice do you have for approaching companies? Do they see things like certifications and SHRM membership as advantages?

3rd job rejection after I thought it went really well. I had really great interviews & good feedback on my portfolio. When I ask why I didn’t get the position the answer I keep getting is “decided to go with someone with more experience”. Which is so frustrating, bc it’s just not as constructive as I’d like. So, I've tried a few different positions and still hate practicing law BUT I was approached about a contract role that won't have billable hour requirements and I won't be steeped (I think) into the law firm's toxicity, so I'm wondering if it could be the closest thing to a 9 to 5 for law. Pay is hourly which seems weird, but I would have time to devote to hobbies and life generally. Has anyone been tempted by or accepted these contract opportunities, and what's your hot take?

I think I bombed a case interview with Chartis for an associate consultant position. The case was in excel and required me to manipulate the data via share screen with the interviewer. I couldn’t get some functions to work and was struggling to go through the 16 page PDF of data. I had several answers correct but needed to walk through the remaining questions with some guidance. My other 3 case interviews went well and I had great conversation with the partner for behavioral interview. Thoughts?

I’ve been getting left out of or forgotten from a few meeting invites and links to imp. things such as remote shoot viewings. Today was the 5th time it happened this year.

I know I shouldn’t think of it much, but it does bring me really down and makes me feel like I’m invisible + less capable than my partner. My white male creative partner has never been left out of one. It doesn’t help that I’m an introverted woman of color who is less vocal. Has this happened to you? How did you overcome it?
