Hello Sharks, Need a suggestion. Had a verbal communication on profile and salary post selection (12th August) still haven’t received the offer letter. Getting updates that they are waiting for global team approval which is stuck due market conditions i believe. My LwD is arriving should I take Whatever offer i have which is comparatively less or ask company to retain as MS are not certain with when they can roll the offer out. Microsoft

It’s havas telling their employees that they don’t care if they’re unhappy.
Yeah I think that’s what they call a hostile work environment.
One of the jobs of a CCO is to create an environment where people can do the best work of their lives. If that isn’t happening the fault is at the top. Someone let me know if this gets hung up in the bathroom or something and screenshot it for me.
Did they lose their font lobby account?
Oh damn, is this in the Chicago office? I should see if I made his hate wall. :)
It has been a hostile environment long before this. Peterson has made statements like this at all of the company meetings, telling people to GTFO if they aren’t “All In”. This display contradicts everything that was said in the email. How would anyone trust to have critical conversations with the leadership when they show themselves to be this hypersensitive.
He’s literally posting all the responses from people who “agree” with his tactics on his instagram as if that’s validation he did the right thing. An echo chamber is not an audience. And you’re a leader dude...How is it possible you think this is an appropriate way to act? I think about people I’ve met and respect and have ACTUALLY changed this industry - especially bless his heart, the nicest man on earth David Kennedy...this is the exact opposite of the way they’d behave. And ps: the reason everyone is anonymously complaining on fishbowl is clearly they don’t feel safe to do so in person. We’re seeing all kinds of examples this week of how people try to be brave and speak up and they only get mocked instead. Everyone from our trash bag president to this blip on the map jerk at Havas. Leading with an iron fist and a fragile ego has rarely resulted in anything positive. I feel bad for everyone at havas, what a toxic environment. And what a mess for our industry, I thought we were at least pretending to be better than this.
Surprised that C-suite and the board would allow this. Opens them up to lawsuits.
That go to another agency printout is straight up abusive manipulation
What an aggressive, nasty bully. No wonder people hate it there. Wow. And the management that lets him stay to continue his stream of abuse? Horrifying
He forgot us 👋🏼
The propagandist spin that leadership is putting on this frightens me. Nobody is “cyber bullying” Jason or his clique.
This is a hostile atmosphere where speaking against the fearless leader or his inner circle in the open gets you exiled. If you don’t work within his “kid with and iPhone” mantra, you’re as good as dead to him.
New business pitches “kid with an iPhone” to all the clients then sticks traditional teams on them. To them this means, “we’re cheap, we’re good, and we’re fast.” To the people who get stuck on these teams it means, under staffed, under paid, over worked. But please, come here. And fucking love it. It’s great. I swear.
How’d he get a job number for that!?!?! Studio had to print and frame those... that’s like 40hours. WHAT AN EPIC WASTE OF TIME.
The article is bullshit. They're damage controlling for an idea that seemingly came from a borderline manic episode. Havas employees aren't being bullied by anyone other than Havas's own executives and culture. That this is an initiative to fight cyberbullying is laughable. It's an attempt to gaslight their employees into believing that they must love work and love Havas. Jason Peterson needs to be fired.
@cw2 what a sad list. Wonder why he left off EnergyBBDO and Cramer Krasselt? @JP
The term is "Consciously Uncouple." If you're going to speak in Gwyneth Paltrow's language, please get it right.
Everywhere you work there will be things to critique. Having a place like this to safely discuss them is only a positive thing. It’s completely unrealistic to expect to love every aspect of your job. Them getting this triggered by it just shows where their priorities lie and just how unfit they are to lead.
Agree, this is such a lie. I’m on the Havas bowl and it is not at all racist or homophobic. Only one questionable comment. In fact the bowl is really more about people voicing how toxic and miserable Havas is. How leadership is fucked up and how unhappy we are all. Love the way he is now trying to twist things.
Even the spin is pretty damning. “Keep your business with us! I know we look crazy but we’re not crazy! We’re just fighting back against the homophobic, racist, cyber-bullies we hired to staff your accounts!”
I interned there a while back, and right away I knew I did NOT want to be hired. Once, the interns decided to leave at 7pm—bc life also happens outside of work—and when we came back the next day, all of the creatives decided to take our chairs away so we couldn’t sit and work. BECAUSE WE LEFT AT 7. So fucked up. HR made it sound like they were doing it bc they liked us. Like, WTF?
It’s an extremely hostile place to work. There are good real ad people who work there and keep the place afloat. But they nervously turn on hip hop at their desks and dress differently when he’s around. It’s a terrifying experience that only the brave quietly bring up during after work drinks.
Someone *really* needs to screenshot this entire thread, print it, and hang it in the restrooms tomorrow.
@sd2 this is not guts. This is petty. Guts is actually meeting with people, talking to them one on one, if they are not fit for the job m, telling them in person, or helping them be the best they can be.
