Guys, I am APHR certified and practiced Organization Development for several years and I still had problems getting a new job after migrating to the USA. I have been researching and learning and what I found out was to switch career minimum; needed is education (first not not certification to show you have practiced new skills). This will lead to new skill sets which will lead into more experience.

Trying to get a 45 y/o sibling in to consulting (was an entrepreneur prior in the restaurant industry). No college degree but willing to bust his but to learn. Books/online courses recommended pls

How should a new young advisor prospect if they don’t have a network.

Resume question that I struggle to answer. If someone has been working for ~20 years and has worked at a number of companies during that time (let’s say 10 for the sake of this example), the resume becomes way too long. Is it okay to remove the 1st couple of jobs that were held after college even if relevant? Or maybe delete a job or 2 if they aren’t 100% relevant to the rest of the person’s career? Final option is to leave names of companies (and titles) of early roles but delete the content.

Does anyone else read job postings and get overwhelmed? I immediately think there’s no way I can do all that. Am I selling myself short?

Hi there! Have any strategists here moved client side? What has your experience been like and what is your job title? I’m really interested in moving in-house, but not sure what roles to look for. I’ve noticed that ‘strategists’ don’t really exist outside of the agency world.

I have seen many people become leisure in notice period and doesn’t bother about co-workers. Now, I am on notice period and want to do same but don’t feel doing it since management sucks and my co-workers will be ones who will feel pressurized as I have been in same place before. Can I get suggestions how to handle the time? should I repeat what others have done to me?

Work for a startup. started a year ago and the job ended up being higher level than my title or my salary reflect. Have 7 years of experience, currently in a coordinator role with $75k sal. The salary sites all say i should be at $105k. But some of the job postings I’m seeing are saying more like $125k. I don’t know what to think.
