Where do you start looking for new jobs if recruiter are not helpful? I’m bit lost in the process…..and not sure how to proceed. I tried to search for like top 50 fintech startup/healthcare startup….any tips? Thank you!
i feel like staying in consulting isn’t a matter of how efficient/hardworking you are. it’s about your personality’s ability to let the “bad” flow over your shoulders more easily than others who might harbor and resent the lifestyle. That said, consulting is so not for me. The health issues Ive gotten from the intensity of this job is literally astounding. Like I don’t even feel human at this point, but others on my team are fine. it’s a personality thing
Feeling unaccomplished and it's taking a toll on my performance and mental health. Dead end job that only imbues "soft skils" and I'm only gaining exp in an industry I'm not interested in.

Renters/homeowners/earthquake insurance ?: I’m reviewing my renewal policy docs for my renters and earthquake policies (im in Los Angeles). I’m 32F 🐠 single no kids. I own enough stuff to fill a 2 bedroom apartment if one room were an office/misc storage stuff. Currently am in a 4bd/4bath town house with 2 roommates. I’ve had these policies for 10+ years but truthfully haven’t read or paid much attention to limits or terms in the past (I also didn’t own much for most of that time).

Have a little over 5 YOE & several manager level roles with experience in change management, SaaS, technology implementations, Salesforce, healthcare. Making $135k now - what roles can I look for with this experience / a pay bump? Would love to move into health/life sciences tech (or any tech company) & looking into both FAANG-type roles and smaller startups. Any advice on specific companies / roles to look into?
I'm a Registered Nurse who's been working as a sales professional for the last 11yrs. Ironically, none of the sales jobs I've been recruited for have been in healthcare. They've all been in the industrial setting (O&G, Chemicals, etc). I just moved across the country for my husband's job, and the new job I found is terrible. I'm looking to get back to my roots in healthcare and apply my sales experience to that sector, but I'm not getting any calls back for this sector. What am I doing wrong?

Stay at Deloitte as an M and try for SM promotion in 2023 or try to level up now at another firm? Current base is $185K with 12 YOE. M&A IT. I know M to SM moves across firms are tough. Assuming I can make the transition for argument’s sake, should I invest my free time in the holiday season into making the transition? Reasons for moving: Cut down M to SM timeline by a year or two, potentially increase my pay from $185K to the mid $200s.

Do MD’s at PwC’s get a pension at retirement (I saw a post from some ED at EY talking about a pension)? Or does the firm just give contribute to the RBAP - and the MD needs to figure out the rest ?
I’ve always gotten the advice that when you want to switch jobs you should take interviews from places you’re not actually interested in, so you can understand your value in the market and have better negotiating power. I’m doing that rn - took a couple interviews to gauge my skills, my market value, and see what I need to work on for interviews that I actually care about. However, I feel really guilty about wasting their time and going all the way knowing I’ll just say no at the end. Wwyd?
If I get laid off how hard do you think it’ll be to find a new job right now. What skills should I learn in that time to make me more marketable?

I am not from the US and taxes overwhelm me; the first few years I did them with TurboTax and it was fine but then I entered a domestic partnership and had a baby. I also bought a house (that I don’t live in), so I went to H&R Block to give it a try assuming they could advise me on optimizing my return, it seemed that they are completely transactional as the person is just typing numbers in a form. Any recommendations on how to navigate personal taxes with an actual advisor?
