Is it a mistake to join a Corp Dev group right now with the way the economy is / where it’s going? They were very successful through the covid pandemic (they’re a healthcare firm) which gives some comfort but it’s hard to not think about the potential downside? Would love to hear thoughts

Anybody work on a small team where you are the only diverse member? I have always worked in places where by chance the group was diverse. I just started this job and didn’t think this would bother me because everyone seemed nice. But frankly don’t understand the jokes or the stuff they want to talk about.
