Starting a new project on Monday and will travel from ewr to Chicago. I’m extremely scared of getting infected with the coronavirus since I’m alone in the country. How are you guys dealing with this?
I've been living in San Francisco for over a year now and find it so overrated. #missingnyc
I don't think I can, in good conscious, vote for Trump anymore after Pence's LGA fiasco fucked my flight home. Sorry dude, you lost my vote.
How hard is it to land a finance job in nyc from San Francisco city, given the significant number of applicants in the city? Looking at IBd/business development jobs.
I despise IAD. What’s your most hated airport?
Worst onsite consulting locations? Mine was San Antonio... I have a tough time finding good eats in the area.🍗🍣🍔
To the dramatic guy who is on the phone to the diamond line threatening to sleep on the floor of SLC because you can't get to your final destination tonight -don't be such a dick to those who can help
John the shoeshiner at LGA, Terminal B: ✔️ upgrade LGA-ORD: ✔️ Tortas Frontera upon landing: ✔️ This is shaping up to be a great travel day. Good luck to those who definitely earned this weekend.
ATL fish... going to a Garba night and have no idea what to wear (not Indian or Hindu.) suggestions? Where can I find clothing for this in Atlanta? Thank you!!
I have to decide between two locations for an offer. Austin vs. San Diego. Same comp. Which would you pick?
Has anyone moved to a more expensive city and successfully renegotiated their salary based on higher cost of living? If so, how? I have no biz case...just want to move to San Diego 😎🌴
Slow clap for clt, boarding c17 and c18 at the same time (p.s. The gates doors are less than 20 ft apart)
Anyone in LAS wants to get a drink?
Hi, does anyone have experience or opinions about the following cities? I'm thinking about moving and would love to hear some thoughts. Houston Austin Phoenix Las Vegas Portland Seattle
What are companies that have Product Management positions that pay in line with consulting? looking at Tier 1 cities like SF, LA, San Diego... maybe even lower tier like Dallas or Denver?
It's a balmy 16 degrees at JFK and there's a flight to Antigua across from my arrival gate...might be time for some last minute PTO
I live in one of the most expensive cities in the US, and even with combined incomes of $600k, my SO and I can not afford (nor justify) a 3-bedroom house (median price north of $2M). We also work nonstop and I don’t know how we’ll be able to raise a family with our workload and COL. Looking to relocate and find a new job where I work 40 hours a week so I can raise a family, where COL is much lower but we don’t take a massive pay cut. Does such a place exist?? Or am I looking for a fairy tale?
I'm joining one of the MBBs soon. What are all the perks, benefits I should take advantage off? Phone plans, memberships, etc? I'm curious about what other Top 6 firms receive?
I started interviewing with a company back in January but they were taking while to make a decision so I put them out of my mind. Fast forward to last week and I found out that I’m newly pregnant. Now, I was offered the job. I don’t know what to do! I hate my current job and this new company seems like a better fit. Do I tell them before I accept the role? I know it’s very early and anything could happen with this pregnancy but I’m torn. Advice would be so helpful!
Anyone know if there is a difference in base pay for AMS vs. Implementation consultants at various partners? I currently work in post-production at CS and my salary is at the low end of CS Glassdoor ranges and comments/surveys posted in this bowl. I know for a fact I’m making the same base salary as my peers in my post-production practice. Would I make more by moving to implementation?
Did any of you guys go into hc consulting because you changed your mind from med school? Do you regret it? Do you ever think about still applying in the future? I’m unfulfilled in the consulting world and am considering med school. Would appreciate any input! Thank you!
Can someone please refer me in Deloitte for position of Senior Business Analyst? Happy to share job id and resume.
How is everyone doing at Hill Holliday?
Upcoming new grads and folks looking for work drop your portfolio links if you’d like feedback! I’ve nearly 20 years in the design field and have experience in print, ui, ux, mobile, web, animation and more. Feel free to DM me if you want to share privately. I’ll be checking this post periodically over the course of the week. Love seeing new work!
June is coming..pressure on leadership..
Anyone have recommendations for therapists in the LA area who have experience working with folks in big law or lawyers generally? My level of anxiety has gone through the roof over the last year and think I’ll benefit from some talk therapy to work through all my stress. Thanks!
Senior in extended PCS group but being forced to do another provision out of town... it doesn’t make any sense. How should I get out of this?
I had a Zoom idea I’d love to see. Wouldn’t it be great to have the option to only allow your zoom class to see the host (teacher) and not everyone else? Lots of my middle schoolers don’t want the camera on because they are embarrassed and don’t everyone looking in their house. They honestly don’t need to be looking at everyone else.
I really was ready to escape the slavery PA and find WLB in industry and now COVID hits and all the recruiters go silent 😭
Anyone lateraled at the 2-4 year mark from boutique (40ish lawyers, corporate lit work on same level as biglaw, making top NY pay) to v100? Can you say anything about the experience? The reason I’m considering is while boutique is generally a good place for me as an associate (NY pay, reasonable WLB, good experience on many fronts) there’s basically zero shot at making partner.
Has anyone made the switch from working as a partner to working as an independent consultant? I’ve been in the partner world for nearly a decade and I’m just getting tired. I got an offer for a long term w2 gig and am on the fence. On one hand I like the idea that I’m actually going to be paid for extra work, but I’m worried the work isn’t going to be exciting and also will have to worry about finding new work in a year. For those who switched do you ever regret it?
Who is the richest one here? Plz flex
Soo how are we feeling about first generation Africans being the star panelists for several of these corporate Juneteenth panels? Before anyone starts accusing me of wanting to drive division, it just strikes me as being as an inappropriate as asking me, an African-American descendant of slaves to star on a panel about life in Africa just because I’ve visited a couple times (which I have). So, I’m seriously trying to make sense of it
