I am so tired of my sister and mom, and the pressure they apply on me to get married, 32 year old female and I have not met someone yet. I was in a relationship last year for a year and he turned out to be a very mean person and they now don’t trust me at all and want me to marry the first nice guy I go on a date with even if I have no attraction at all, and if I go on a couple of dates and I don’t feel it, they question my judgement. I feel like dying from the pressure.

I am a M2 at B4 FDD and don’t know how long i’ll be genuinely interested in this work. Currently debating rotating into a B4 IB associate role for a year or two, then moving to PE. Is this a reasonable move? I know IB lifestyle will suck, but I don’t want to find myself in a spot where I dislike what I do in a few years and feel like moving to IB may increase my chances of landing a better gig in the future ( as opposed to sticking to FDD)

The most harmful example I came across was bias in ML for the criminal justice system.

I was interviewed for one of the teams for Appdynamics (Cisco subsidiary) for Software Engineer 2 position. I cleared all the rounds and background verification also. This process took a month and now they are saying that we have kept external hiring on hold for 2 weeks. But your candidature is confirmed and your offer letter will be released. We'll get back to you after 2 weeks. Is there anyone who is also waiting for an offer letter to be released? What do you guys think?

I joined one of the big4 in September, the project they have alloted me is not the same that they have told at the time of joining.
I am expecting an offer from other company, i am not sure about how it is going to affect my cv and profile.
Please suggest, should i stick with my current company or look forward to different offer.

Recently an Indian CEO had fallen into a deep rooted controversy which hurt a majority of Software Engineers. I have had never seen business tycoons like Anand Mahindra, Ratan Tata speaking such things to a large audience even after knowing their kingdom also have 18+ hours WLB issues.

1. Think twice or thrice before giving any advise to a big audience and always double check the context.
2. Don’t underestimate the power of a common man. He will put you up and the same has power to hit you hard
