Need ethics/moral help from my fellow 🐟 I got laid off from ACN earlier this year. I accepted an offer and started at a boutique consulting firm exactly one month ago today. This morning, I got an email from Deloitte recruiting for the same position I’m in now, which is where I want to develop my career. Part of me wants a break from the big consulting firms, but at the same time, going to a Big 4 would feel more at home to me. Is it worth entertaining the offer, or should I just stay away?
Whats your go to WFH lunch?
Fairly confident I’ll get an in industry offer this week! Mixed feelings though... Main reason for leaving is WFH consulting just simply isn’t enjoyable. Getting harder for me to see the value in grinding for consulting. Is this short term thinking off? Do people think weathering this storm will give potential raises / promotions soon? I just don’t see consulting going back to what it use to be for ~2 years. I’m a consultant level going for promotion to manager.
Does look, body type, age, appearance play a role in climbing corporates ladders? Say, will a early 30s, handsome fit man have an advantage over a late 50s, chubby and unattractive man? Assuming both are at the same level.
Anyone else becoming less productive with continued WFH or struggling in some way with staying focused?
Which looks better: 1) tier 1 undergrad, mediocre work experience after college 2) average undergrad, equally mediocre work experience after college Would adcoms view (1) unfavorably since they could have landed a good role after college but didnt? I know everyone has their reasons for picking certain roles, but trying to understand how adcoms will view it especially if theres no obvious explanation e.g. going to no-name IB or consulting after college, audit, etc
Do you think your agency is gonna push up your return to office date (if you’re still wfh) because of the recent CDC guidance 🤔
Hey everyone! I’m having a bit of trouble and I wanted to know if I can get some guidance. I have been on the same project for four years now and I’m doing great job. I’ve gone up in the ranks and now I am the clients right hand person. However in talking with my people manager, he wants to discuss where I plan on going in my career. And honestly, I haven’t really thought about it. I have always been raised to just do my job and go home. And honestly I’m fine with that. But when it comes to 1/2
Art director presents idea we were both tasked to do. The entire concept is mostly my idea, and has a key element that she did not like and almost refused to add. I basically pushed her to add it. It’s that part that the client actually loved, and when the meeting ended, everyone thanked her and congratulated her, and she said “thanks”without giving me a mention. Even our cd and account folks. Should i let it go?
Hi All, I left the company after 6 months as I was in support project. Being a Developer, I was not interested. I have been hired for development in new company but here also they put me in support and promised me the development project... If they don't provide development project, what are the options I have? If want to leave, how much duration I need to work here? Will it affect in future if I leave the company as I will be changing two companies within a year? Please advise me... Thanks...
Hi, all! I am currently in the process of switching firms. I’m at another big 4 in financial services. My new role has sent out a survey for market team preference between Financial Services and Products & Services (tech, media, telecommunications, consumer markets, etc). In terms of work and exit ops, which would you choose and why? Thank you!

If my office location is Seattle but I have been living in Texas during coronavirus WFH period for rest of the year, can I contact payroll to avoid paying any Seattle based taxes(no state tax but they have some smaller ones)? Or can I claim a refund end of the year when I file taxes? My home address on ADP pay stubs is Texas based. Tried to look for older posts with answers but couldn't find them.
Best state/city to live in US with good exit opportunities and balance between COL-good lifestyle and maximize savings/earnings

In a tough situation and need some advice. I’m an audit associate who got passed up for senior promotion this year, but senioring a busy season engagement. There is another senior that is supposed to be on the job, but he hasn’t been staffed on the engagement the past couple weeks and is off this week. I now have the full responsibility of this engagement on my hands and feel like it’s pretty unfair considering I got passed up for promotion and am not getting paid to be a senior. What do I do?
