Interviewing for MBB...how do I spin my tech implementation experience to strategy consulting?
I recently got my friend hired (1-week in) at my workplace and turnaround is all time high right now (darn Covid, 3 people left since I've joined for 7 months), but I'm gonna be talking to a recruiter as a salary offer came up for 50% higher than my current workplace. I feel really bad if this opportunity actually comes true as 50% increase to salary is ridiculous not to consider. I feel horrible and don't want to burn bridges and I like the people & manager I work with. What should I do?
Still confused on moving back or not (currently subletting place to someone). What have your experiences been like? Rent worth it even though work still remote?
Transferring from one HCOL city to another later this year. LinkedIn shows salaries for my level are 2% higher in the new city. Any advice on negotiating a raise with HR before my transfer? Trying not to be in the dark on my salary post-transfer until the last minute (I’m cynical and worried they might even try to pull off a slight reduction), and ideally I want at least a slight raise.
Got an offer for industry for $138K total cash comp (120K base and 15% bonus - pool has been fully funded previously). I am currently a Staff making 81K base and with upcoming promotion anticipate making approx. 97K base (and bonuses are not high at EY). Would I be crazy not to take this offer? Just don’t wait to stunt growth from a long term perspective.
Met with my boss today and was told “well you’re way better at your job than we expected...so keep doing that and just that. We might be able to have some more interesting work for you to do in 2-3 years”. Meanwhile...I am BORED TO TEARS!!!!!! And it’s tempting to quit, but I make more money than both of my parents combined EVER have, we had zero layoffs during COVID, and I really do love the people. At the end of the day...I guess I’m just hear to vent and to see if I’m the ONLY one.
I have sponsorship from my consulting firm (tuition, requires 3 year commitment, definitely does not pay like MBB/T2). I got a 60k scholarship from Kellogg, should I just consider making a move to MBB/T2?
As a big4 Manager base in London, do you get a significant salary bump by moving to another big4? (Considering that salaries are largely similar b/w these firms). Also, what's the ballpark salary one should expect?
Hi folks - Any recommendations for a good immigration lawyer? Looking for some guidance on my wife’s OPT/H4/EAD
Who's going out in San Jose tonight?
Is it normal for PwC to downgrade you from a sr position you applied on their job portal to a experienced associate? I was told I will be fast tracked and the offer they gave me is on par with the base salary of a SA. Seems like I can’t negotiate the position.
I have just recently taken a contract position as Director of Compliance at a Fin-Tech company, while my past 17 years of Compliance experience have just been in the financial industry. Does anyone know what the average salary is for Director Of Compliance in the Fin-Tech industry? I’m making next to nothing and have a sinking feeling that accepted the wrong salary.
Been thinking bout this for the past 15 years, but life rhymes with wife, right? so if life insurance exxxists, why doesn't wife insurance?? 🤔
