Anyone had experience promotion during/after pregnancy? I’m working in a team I love and planning to get pregnant. But last week, my boss quit which throws me to an awkward position. If my boss didn’t quit, I have high chance to get promoted at the end of year. But now, everything is uncertain. If I don’t get promoted this year, I prob won’t next year bc I will take a lot of maternity leave. Need some advice here.

My husband yells at me in front of my 2 years old, even when he is scared. He needs to express his anger out before he can shut down. I am planning to leave him but I am hesitant because I am afraid this would negatively impact my son more, not having a father figure around much.... not the first time, my husband promises multiple time that at least he would control his anger in front of kid but never Lee up the promise...sometimes he would even throw stuff (not at me and my child)...

Will it be too high salary to ask for a Manager(M2)-Data Analytics position in Deloitte Consulting UK?
If no, then will it be good enough for 3 people to lead a decent life in London (Like Hounslow or Milton Keyes) including a 2 year old kid. Traveling to London on daily basis.
If yes, then kindly suggest a reasonable salary range for this role.

Hello All, I have applied for an open position in Ralph Lauren however, I have not yet received any call for the interview. Can someone please help? I need some reference to join. 5.5 years experience in SCOM Administration. Looking for technical growth after maternity break.

Was previously working as an advisor growing a nice book and left to move 18hrs away to be close to family. I was pregnant and desperate to take what would move us and now I’m a planner working for FAs and I’m making $130k. Was fine at first while I got thru pregnancy but now I’m not happy & regret accepting the job and pay. I’m supporting others who are making 3-4times my salary. I have 10 yrs experience and CFP, often more than FAs I’m helping. Ask for more $$ or start over being an FA?

Is anyone living on different floors with ~1 year old? Does it work, PROs, CONs? Our master bedroom is upstairs. There are two bedrooms downstairs so I always thought we’d use one of those rooms as our bedroom so we’re on the same floor with baby but it seems husband wants to stay upstairs. And he’s using one of the rooms downstairs as a home office. We bought this house so cannot move in the short term.

Anyone have three kids and working in big law? I just found out I’m pregnant with no. 3 and it’s been a lot trying to juggle morning sickness, but based on my experience, I know this is only the tip of the iceberg of what’s to come. My husband and I are elated, but the anxiety of being a mom of 3 kids and working in big law is preventing me from truly enjoying this news. It would be good to know what it’s really like having 3 kids so that I can evaluate how long I really have left in big law.

I’m consciously trying to unlearn the habit of saying “congratulations” when someone says they’re having a baby. It’s not an accomplishment!😂 Plus, I want to counter the assumption that having children is always “good.” It’s hard to find other things to say, though!

I currently work as a personal injury lawyer at a small law firm, 5 years experience, graduated from T30 law school in 2015. Our subject area is pretty niche, and I am looking to branch out. Not big law, but a different subject area, and hopefully something with a better work life balance (have a small child with hopes for more). Open to leaving the law for a compliance/HR/other type position. Am I even marketable for something like that? Am I being unrealistic?

Hello fellow HR pros! I really need your opinions on HR certifications. I am deciding between PHR and SHRM-cp. I have read just about all there is online comparing the two and can not decide. My heart is telling me PHR, my mother in law (an HRBP) is telling me to go with SHRM, as it’s more widely recognized, more established and a larger network in general. I work for a 350~ company who is growing rapidly through M&A. Passions/interests are compliance, strategic vision, M&A, branding and culture
