Client meeting on Friday afternoon 😞
Best shoes that balance style/function for winter at a client site? I'm looking at the next 2 months in Michigan and my Aldos ain't gonna cut it ya'll
I will be flying to a client location for less than 30 days this year. Should I still ask my company to file for an LCA amendment?
Job Alert Client is looking for a a seasoned director of social, passionate about music, can build multiple brands at once, and do social commerce. Hit me up if you're interested.
🐠 that kicked ass in a PMO role, question for you: any tips or micro habits that worked for you in terms of meeting firm & client expectations? Know its a loose term and is project specific but just want to know what skills I should hone.
I was diagnosed with mild ADHD, and partially why I went into project management is that I wanted to challenge myself for long term initiatives. Although I’m learning amazing things, I still need a lot of support at times. In addition, multi term or year projects give me anxiety, along with a number of personal obligations (I take care of my mom). My projects include well known ERP vendors, but I am unsure if I should continue targeting long term tasks. I’m waiting on meds to see how it helps.
Back again with a question for the McKinsey folks! 1. Is it true that if you are internal (specifically PD) you are not eligible for a performance bonus? Just base and the 401K profit sharing? 2. I know McKinsey offers a percentage of your salary into a retirement fund. The recruiter painted it as a range (from 7-12%), but other fish in the main consulting bowl said it’s either 7 OR 12% (no in between) based off of if you’re client facing or internal - which is true? Continuing below:
Returned from sick leave and found out from other people at the office I totally messed up on a project that I worked on prior to sick leave. Now that my reputation has been ruined and facing an upcoming negative performance review. No one at the office stood up for me despite of positive work done prior to COVID or wants to hear what I have to say. I m bothered by this gaslighting practice both professionally and personally. I felt I was designated as the scape goat. Continued.
My client made me an offer in a city I’m not excited about and know no one. But I absolutely love the company, the people, and I know I would be happy with good pay and work-life balance...(cont)
Cute client guy was definitely flirting today. Bumped into him at lunch, he introduced himself and invited me to eat with him but I had to decline to make a meeting :( What should I do now?
Has anyone else found HR timelines to be a crawl during all of this year? Top 5 bank or smaller bank, it’s totally glacial pace, it doesn’t matter. I try to normally be engaged and quick with stuff client side or internal stuff but it truly blows my mind how slow HR is on things. Like if I was to be this slow client side, I’d be fired. Does anyone have similar experiences over the past year?
I left a boutique consulting company because I felt under utilized. Joined a larger supposedly hip consultancy with local market model with great expectations and am finding myself let down by the experience - the client, work, teamwork and collaboration, technical content is not per what was promised and feels like I am back to my b4 days. I was a fool to fall for the kumbaya in consulting crap - I am best developing products with great teams. Industry looks down on me. What are my options?
Folks whose h1 was picked in lottery, hav ur lawyers submitted documents to uscis. What documents they need frm client and frm u. What is last date to submit. Mine got picked but no word from lawyers
17 years in 850 in production 12 years to go. Never lost a client in a cfp conversation. I make educating myself a priority. Any reason whatsoever I should put myself through the cfp process?
Has anyone tried any CBD (non THC) products to help with daily stress? Not just relaxing after the day is over, but to manage stress and anxiety throughout the project without compromising performance
Lol to the partner saying “no pressure on coming back to the office” but mentions it in every single team meeting, talks about how great it is for the client to see us there and even offers free lunch and drinks 😂 I mean thank you but do you really want to risk your whole team being out sick?
I’m a healthcare consultant. Reading the state vaccine process, it says you can use an employee badge, which I have from my client, as proof of being a healthcare worker. Will the hospital giving vaccines cross-check with my client that I am an active employee? Bad idea? I’m looking for ways to get the vaccine quicker.
Just got off a two hour workshop with a client and was too scared to say anything and speak up even though I probably had good points. How do you get over the fear of being wrong or sounding stupid? I feel like I let my team down.
Aaaaand I just got an email on my LinkedIn account from one of my client stakeholders on this project saying he finds me “rather attractive” 🙄😫 It never ends

How long should I stay at an “A-list” agency if I haven’t made anything worthwhile? It’s not for a lack of work ethic but a lack of luck with everything getting killed by client.
Currently Staff 2 with MSF and MBA and one year prior industry experience, see a juicy consultant position at D that directly matches my skill set , chances?
What is the path to a GC for a senior associate on a TN? I’ve been with my firm since college (2 years) - firm policy is that they initiate the process after a two year tenure (and provided you are senior associate rank, at minimum). Will I be able to pass the PERM evaluation? If not, would things get easier with a subsequent promotion? Or would it be best to lateral to a new firm and start the process there? Sorry, super green when it comes to this
