Joined a new firm and they want us to go get pictures taken to put online. Would it be inappropriate to use a headshot from a prior firm (in a diff country)?

Not an issue. I'm 110 pounds lighter and still use my fat pics.

I don't want people to know till after I'm done because I'm still kinda chubby.

I have the same question but from same country lol

Technically the photo belongs to the prior firm so you should get permission to use it for a commercial purpose

So, my firm paid for professional studio headshots. As a second year I was appointed to the board of a non-profit and they wanted a head shot for their website. I emailed the managing partner to get permission.

He called me, laughed at me, said he’s seen the firms photos used for all manner or things and in 15 years I was the first to ask permission. He laughed at me again but then said it showed I had good character (debatable tbh).

Morale of the story, probably don’t need to ask. But it probably wouldn’t hurt.

They usually like them to match among all attorneys on the firm website. So they might want a new one with their background setup etc

How long ago was the picture taken?

I continue to use the photo from my first associate job. I never even thought to ask. I wouldn't worry about that at all.

A year in with the new firm and I’m still a blank box on our website because new firm didn’t want to use old firm’s photo... and then COVID happened. But my old photo is still my LinkedIn photo.

Now I need to regain trust and eliminate unacceptable teacher behaviors. Open to any and all advice.

Hi All,
Really need some input. We have our new construction done by April 2023. Builder is giving us 28,000 credits which can be used towards closing cost and buy lock rate for 6 months from now and giving us the interest rate for 6.75% for 30 years from US bank. But I also spoke to credit union they give us 5 ARM for 5.5% but can lock rate in feb 2023. So should go with the US bank with 6.75% plus incentives or wait till feb 2023 and thn lock rates(us bank doesn’t give us ARM rates).
